16/2 Mauer AMPS 290, +1 295, +3 266, +5 265

How's the rabbit? Mauer has been good for you to go out.... she will want attention later ;)
He had some stitches that weren't supposed to be there, but we're leaving them in for now. Nice being at the vet and not paying! :D nice change!:p

You guys are stressing me out! She hasn't been low during the night, so now is not the time to start! o_O

How did she got the stitches to begin with?
The rabbit?
He showed up January 7 under a car on my street. No one missed him, so I got him neutered after 14 days, hence the stitches. His outer skin was glued and the stitches should be inside him, so the vet was very very confused and interested in seeing what was going on o_O

i see... hopefully is the kind of stitches that self-destructs?
How did the cats took the new pet in the family?

Lol. You didn't think you'd get away with no pj parties, did you? I mean, it would be great if Mauer is that cooperative and never goes lower at night. But she'd probably be the first:joyful:.

Yeah, they should. So we're going back in two months :D

They don't care :p
I had a house rabbit until June last year, so a rabbit running around isn't unusual :D

I'm an optimistic person you know!!!!! :p:D:D:D

Comparing to Prozinc she's done great. No PJ parties, I can see where we're going before reality hits, I'm not scared all the time
I'm working on letting go, when the clever people tell me I can sleep... that's not going so well..but one day!
Haven't seen yesterday's slam in my face, but other than that :D

*Wicked laugh*. Welcome to the PJ Party club!
Well, it's 8 in the morning here, so....not really :D:D:D:D

I have a stupid question, Bhooma! Is nadir the same time in both cycles?
Mauer seems to do amazing during the night and getting good numbers at +10 to amps. Am cycle seems to be much earlier?

Dammit! I forgot you were in Denmark! Not fair!

Nadirs are later in bounce breaking cycles.

Lol :D you're only 4.5 hours ahead of me :p
So she's bouncing every night?o_O

Yup. All the yellows and pinks you see after green are bounces. They tend to be flat high cycles. When the bounce clear there is downward momentum and often a later nadir.

So her AM cycles is the right picture of when her nadir is?
No hope that she'll reach nadir later than +4 to +6?

Well, nadirs do move around. But she seems to be a late nadir-er.
She had late nadirs on Lantus as well.

Look at the cycles where she has a typical/gentle cycle rather than bounce breaking ones or the ones with fast drops.

Of course, I could be wrong! :D

Oh sorry. I assumed it was Lantus! Why so many changes of insulin?

Cycles with fast drops are too influenced by food. That is, the numbers that come after. At least that's how I read it.
But if you see her AM cycles on Feb 5, 6, 9, 12, 13, 15, her nadirs were between +6 and +7.

Vets must prescribe insulin for animals first, so caninsulin first. Then I read about levemir and remission rates so we tried. Then Mauer got sick, we ended at the ER twice since she wouldn't eat and threw up, I didn't understand that is was depot so I did everything wrong :banghead:
Then we tried prozinc and the first day she got a massive overdose, cause the vet gave me wrong syringes and told me to draw up to 1.2.. THEN I joined this forum, got her through the hypo and Deb was our savior! Prozinc didn't keep her down there, rarely had blue PMPS and only two blue AMPS. Every time Deb and I talked about switching her back to levemir Mauer started to behave nicely on prozinc.

And since she went on prozinc my vet has been sick. Before that, she told me only to talk to her about Mauer and not the new vet she hired. So I've been on my own since late summer...
I wanted my vets go ahead on the Lev, but I didn't want to wait any longer. So I called the clinic and said "Yo, I'm switching Mauers insulin, could you please note that in her journal? Bye bye!"
They have access to my spreadsheet so they can see what I'm doing, so I guess everything is fine, but really I don't know :nailbiting:
I might get spanked when my vet returns!

The vet encouraged me to test before insulin and then +6 in her AM cycle. Below 5 mmol give honey, below 12 mmol don't give insulin. Between 5-10mmol was optimal at +6. And that was on Caninsulin :banghead:

I didn't think about testing when Mauer threw up, so she might have been have been way too low....

So this time on lev, I'm doing it the right way, testing my butt of!

Wow! I was fortunate that way. My vet prescribed the wrong insulin (Mixtard) but by then I had already started researching the hell out of FD and found FDMB. And fortunately, we don't need prescriptions here for insulin (we do, but pharmacies don't enforce it) so I started on Lantus and started testing and dosing as recommended here. FDMB gets full credit for any progress I made with Bandit.

But she is doing great on Levemir and you are indeed testing your butt off. Pity we can't literally test our butt off. I have at least 2 kilos more than I should have just there.

Seriously I'm envious of all the things you can get without a prescription.
I can't get anything more than Tylenol o_O

Lol :D:D
I'm totally flat in that department. I'd rather have too much there :D

We can get everything except anti-depressants, anti-anxiety and sleep meds without a prescription here. No complaints.

I have too much everywhere except where I should and I'm flat in THAT department. ;)

You're lucky! I can't even get strong vitamins

I'd wish one could move fat around and design how we want to be shaped :D
