Good morning all!

Miss Pearl might be having a Pancreatitis episode. Starting yesterday evening, he appetite began to wane and she began to get crabby. Today she is upset, hissing at Chessie, growling and not wanting to eat, in some pain. She is a little constipated but this not her usual I-have-to-poop behavior. I have administered sub q and will give Buprenex. I hope this is the cause of her yellow numbers today and nothing else.

Stay safe out there! Today is an ice storm where I live.

Oh sweet Pearl! I hope the flare is short-lived. Sounds like you have a few tools to help manage it :bighug:

Sorry about the ice - I've always said that's more dangerous than snow! Have a good day, Margaret :bighug:

So glad you are on top of things Margaret. I hope this means you can prevent more pain, and soon, all of it - sending healing vines to Pearl darling for a speedy recovery:bighug::cat::bighug:

Stay home with ice out there! I'm in TX, waiting on more ice tonight, then potentially several inches of snow. I had to laugh about the stay home warnings . . . Haven't we been doing that for most of a year?
Stay warm and cuddly!

Nice PMPS:cool:
Sending many vines to Pearl for a quick recovery. You are obviously very in tune with her. She is so lucky to have you as her bean:).

Hi everyone and thanks so much for your messages @Marje and Gracie @Butters & Lyla @Tina Marie and Jan @JaxBenji

Pearl is eating, but not extremely well. I am having to use more of the 3% food than I would like to try to tempt her. Sometimes I have to coax and finger feed for 20 minutes at a time to just get some food in her. If I don't try to help her, she just won't eat. So I am pretty tired. But I am making sure she eats at least 1/2 of her normal amount at injection times (so about 10 grams).

She has been clingy all day, but is a bit calmer now than in the morning. She did not hiss or growl at Chessie tonight, which is very good. I will give more Buprenex in about an hour. I am happy to see in the midst of this her BG has come down, but who knows what it will do during the night. I am nervous it may go LOW rather than increase as is usual without-Pancreatitis flare.

I am constantly shocked at the Maryland drivers in bad weather. I usually stay home and hunkered down. Today everything was a sheet of ice, I hope you all stayed safe too.

Oh Margaret, sounds like you've had quite a day. :bighug: Hope Pearl doesn't drop too far tonight from where she is and you are able to get some rest.
