This is not a bounce :( and Grem's not feeling well. We had a short purry cuddle last night before bed but he didn't eat all his tea, he had the rest for supper instead of extra food. No cuddles at all, purry or otherwise, so far today and it's almost 4 hours after AMPS. He barely touched his breakfast, he ate the rest just shortly ago. This morning I gave him the Bupe I found but I know that hasn't made him feel bad as it was before that. I was hoping Bupe would help him. Guess I'll wait to see if he perks up. He's so skinny, he can't afford to be eating less. At least he IS eating.

Vines to all that need them.

Just at lunch time Grem perked right up, gave me such a long, purry cuddle. The longest in quite a while! He even layed his head down which he hasn't done in, well, I don't even know how long! He then ate two helping of lunch!

He slept through his +9/+10 snack but came for another cuddle at +11. He has just eaten a full bowl for dinner and wanted more... He's eaten that too!

The Bupe seemed to help and hinder him today. He did that thing where he lays there with his eyes open again. From memory that may have settled but I'm not sure. He does seem happier on it though as far as his movement goes. I think he may be getting slightly dehydrated which also means he may have to stop Meloxicam soon. I need to research and then contact the vet.
His last blood work was done on the 9th of October, I believe so he is next due April. Though if he needs another vet visit between now and then, I'll get them to run his bloods.

I discovered this evening that the 0.9u measurement on the measuring thing is ever so slightly bigger than the 1u measurement so I have adjusted Grem's spreadsheet to say 1 this morning. I wanted to increase somewhere between 0.25u as Grem can be quite sensitive to insulin changes. Perhaps now I know why... :banghead:

Stage 4 lockdown has just been announced here due to the super strain of COVID-19 being introduced into the country and now spreading. It's only for five days for the moment but I think it will probably be extended. I know that Australia as a whole is doing so well compared to some/many places but I'm devastated. In a big way for my autistic teenage son. We can cope with 5 days easily but weeks or months... Anyway, I shouldn't worry about things that haven't even happened. For now, I need to keep my eating disorder checked and mental health stable. As well as look after my teen. Fortunately I will still be working as I work in aged care (even the office has to stay open), I'm grateful for that.

Take care everyone.

I'm sorry, its good that the authorities are taking quick action, I hope they are able to nip it in the bud.

Good to hear he perked up a bit.

Do you think you could find a moment to pop the labs(perhaps the last two or three) onto the SS (there's a tab) @Marje and Gracie may be able to offer some thoughts on those with a view to helping Grem feel a little better.

Yeah, we've already had two waves, they're trying to prevent a third one. It is good that they've jumped on it so fast!

I don't have copies of any of the labs. And I have no idea if the vet will give them to me. We switched to a new vet at the very end of last year.

I wish our authorities had been more strict and acted quicker here, it's been a rolling of and on for a year of more or less restrictions, DH and I have been in l and all the while the infection rate in the coumunity has been rising. Friends of mine who I know have been observing no social contact and always wearing masks have come down with it and they have no idea where it has come from. The British strain does seem to be much more contagious.

I believe you have a right to see them if you request them, though they won't always give them out automatically.

Oh wow! Crazy. Hopefully the vaccines start working and more and more people get it. I think we'll all be glad to get past this. At least the worst of it.

Okay, another thing to ask. The new vet has his file.
One downside to the new vet, I discovered, is that they charge for prescriptions. My old one didn't.

Wow. Hugs to you, Laura. You have a lot on your plate right now! And Gremlin is not helping you out! I’m glad he perked up and ate. Do you add water to his food ... probably do.

Thank you!!
I add a little bit. I can't add much though as he doesn't like it. He does have three water bowls and drinks a LOT.
