11/2 Mauer AMPS 173, +2 218, +4 261

Nice start for Mauer  Hope he surfs safely :cat:
She's already gone up.
I left food, and my sister did a +2 and is going to do +4 in a few.
But she went down really really slow this time! I gave the juice in her neck last night, usually do the shoulders, left in the am right pm.
It feels like she has lumps under her skin in her right side. Have you experienced that with Jax?

No, I haven't. I don't have a lot of feline health experience but perhaps that is something worth noting to your vet?

As for injection spots, the Testing and Shooting Tips post has some good info in it. I personally do scruff and side of chest and rotate which side I give it the injection. Hope that helps :bighug:

Remember how LATE the nadir is with levemir. I think it's pretty normal to have a lower pre-shot with levemir too. Someone more experienced with that insulin will correct me if I'm wrong.

You're right Deb! Onset and nadir is later.
But still she didn't go down today.

So I made a decision to increase tonight instead of tomorrow. I'd rather have a lower amps when I'm awake during the day, than a lower pmps where I need my sleep. Since the onset and nadir is late, I get sleep it's a win win! I'll still test her during her PM cycle of course :D

Now I need sleep. Had 6 hours with the twins, and this morning when I was smoking my morning cigarette in my backyard, my Pepsi-Cola turned into ice......... I'm SO glad all my pets are inside. It's going to be -17 degrees. -17!!!:eek::nailbiting:

Those are likely injection site lipomas. If you tend to shoot in the same area too often, they can occur, so keep moving the shots around, alternate left, right, scruff, sides, etc. They should get reabsorbed over time.
I already do so. I never shoot the same site twice. I'll try to skip that side more often until they're gone.

Think of the injection site areas like a clock, the old fashioned kind with an hour and a minute hand. Work your way around the clock face, starting at noon with your injections, and that should help to distribute the shots.

-17c = 1.5 F Yup, that is cold.
