02/4 MISSY PMPS 423, +4 398

Missy is dropping quickly again... at +2 she is now 97.
I did a test at +1 because I had to run out and she was acting sleepy so I wanted to know what was going on and how much time I had to get back. I have fed her small amounts 4% LC at AMPS, +1 and now +2.

Do you find this drop too fast? Do I need to do more than LC to slow down?

At +3.5 she is up a bit now to 74. :D
How long till you head to bed Bhooma? Just curious how long you'll be around for.
 
She had such a GREAT day... so is this now a big bounce :eek:
Haven't see red for while but this I think was her longest run of green... :)
I hope she is still making progress.
 
Woah! That's quite a bounce. I guess it's a night off from testing! Just get one test before you got to bed - whenever that is +3/+4/+5. Don't bother testing before.

Ok I will do that. At what point in all this do they start clearing bounces sooner? Like is there ever a possibility that she could start this high at 432 and go down again to green in this PM cycle? Also does this high of a bounce ruin her good day in green?

It varies from cat to cat. Some cats flatten out faster, some take longer and I am told, some bounce all the way to remission. Missy is definitely clearing bounces faster. She is seeing blues or greens almost every day. With time, she should stop bouncing.
You can see that her SS looks much better than it did when you started out. :-)

Yes you're right her SS looks a lot better. She's made progress since she started insulin Dec 30th.
One day at a time....

Question... can diabetic cats have catnip? I used to give it to her maybe once a week or every 10 days.
 
She’s having quite the bounce tonight....398 at +4.
She’s hungry so I fed her a little more before bedtime. :)

Yes they get quite hungry in higher numbers. Enjoy the night off. Let's see how long she takes to clear this one!
