Little nervous I think my old vial of lantus was not working anymore. And I know one shot wouldn’t make his sugar drop but just strange.

If I may, I'd like to offer a few observations...

It looks like there are days where your pre-shot test and dose aren't on the spreadsheet. Did you skip? If so, can you put a "NS" (no shot) or something on your spreadsheet so we have some idea of what was going on? Any change in dose or skip has an effect on the depot. It will take several cycles for the depot to catch up and stabilize.

With SLGS, you need to be holding the dose for a week. At the end of the week, you do a curve. It looks like you're done that on occasion but not routinely. Holding the dose too long can make it harder to get the results that you want. If you're not able to more tests, having the curve is helpful.

On 12/31, Kirby dropped to below 90. Numbers below 90 indicate that you need to reduce the dose.

Please use decimal points when listing your dose. I'm assuming you're shooting 1.25u (not 125u).

It's helpful to put a note in the comment about when you changed to a new pen. It's hard to know if what you're seeing is the result of new insulin or your having increased Kirby's dose or both.

Without knowing the details of your schedule, it's helpful if you can try to get more spot checks. It's especially important to get a before bed test during the PM cycle. Many cats experience lower numbers at night. By getting a test before you turn in for the evening, you will have some reassurance that Kirby is in safe numbers. In addition, if you are out of the house during much of the AM cycle, getting data in the evenings becomes even more important.

It may be the one but with so little testing he could have gone low at many times and it was missed. Are you still having trouble getting tests before each shot? I wonder if it would help to get a meter put on him that tracks his bg for two weeks without the need to draw blood?

it may be the one? no i can do more testing.

The meter is called a Libre. I don’t often recommend it but it might be good in your case to get a handle on the patterns.

Oops. What happened. I meant to write it may be the new pen. Sorry about that. Kirby might be in the 75-150 range a lot but you aren’t catching it.
