? Socrates to the vet again...

For the last couple of days he is not himself,seems more tired and stressed.He also has diarrhea.I will take him to the vet today for the second blood test in nearly 2 months. The hyperthyroidism test came back negative,the doctor suspects his kidneys have gotten worse,but I think he has cancer...
Plus ,his civvie is at the clinic as well probably with asthma..
I am overwhelmed ...Two sick cats at the same time...I took a day off from work,I feel exhausted..
 
Hi!! Well.an update on my civvie ''Kolokithi'' which means Pumpkin in Greek.She is a three legged cat,10 years old and has always been Socrates' ''wife'':joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful:.She has bronchitis and will follow a course of antibiotics.She also has one very small kidney and the other is enlarged...Thank God,this hasn't affected her kidney function so far!
As for my beloved boy,we have to wait for the blood test results..Please send prayers ,dear cat parents!:nailbiting::nailbiting:

His wbc and neu are nearly identical to what rhubarb's were while fighting infection. That's about all I can offer for knowledge. We don't know what her infection was.
 
Did the vet do a urinalysis to check for a UTI? Did the vet say it might be leukemia? Gosh pray not. I’m sorry you have two sick cats. When you get all the labs post them. :bighug:

Ronaxan from The Vet Hospital was the only antiobiotic that help my very sick dumped wild caught baby rescues in fall 2010, 2011 and 2012. And pepper pepper it never came back after those Roaxans ssessions. They were only 8 weeks old + a month. Heidi Y Nielsen has always been the best Specialist Vet they have, beside frivolous x-rays, Heart UCG's and more, she had always been thinking out of the box. And we've always operated as a team.

Update on Socrates: After calling again and again at the clinic,the vet finally called me back..He didn;t seem to worry that much ( !!!) and asked for a stool sample on Monday.Meanwhile he told me to give a dewormer for 3 days in a row,as Soc also seems to have worms.From what the doctor said,he probably has an inflammation at his bowels,which made me think of IBD...He said no antibiotics for the moment.
I don't know...I started giving probiotics on my own and I also started methyl B12 for his neuropathy.
I am a rather realistic person and optimism has never been my thing..
