OMG! Look at those beans!!! That is so cute!!!

I sure hope you start to see better numbers soon! C'mon Chicka - get to working that juice!

Healing well 10 weeks post arthrodesis with ST fusion. Lots of hardware. Graduated to 10% weight bearing- so still in wheelchair. But progressing well

You're right about that! Some serious hardware there! 10% is terrific considering what he's working with there...is it titanium?

Good luck with the healing!!

Yes all titanium.
I think monkey is working the juice. It’s just going to be in her bodies time for numbers. when I think back to her symptoms which she only started displaying in late September... polydypsia/polyuria
I wonder just how long she’s been diabetic.
Some days her numbers are 200-300 now.
But, the way she moves is better, she’s very lovey... even more than before, she poops every day now, and when she pees it’s not a flood . I use less litter.
So I’m trying very hard not to focus on just the numbers but her whole picture. The numbers will come, I think.

my husband was hit head on in 1985 by a tractor trailer, he was doing road work in Oregon and the driver (drunk) fell asleep behind the wheel.
They told John he would never walk again but he did. He went back to serious rock climbing and ski instructing and became one of the top skydiving instructors in the country.
In 2018, he was teaching skydiving when a dust devil ( small land tornado) rose up and literally pulled him to earth from about 30 feet.
He broke his pelvis and needed an emergency colon resection and temp ileostomy because the doctors focused on his pelvis and missed a huge retro peritoneal bleed pressing on his colon. fast forward ... Cleveland clinics reversed the ostomy 2019, but the damage to his nerves in his legs was too great, hence needing the fusion. And he will probably have to get the left ankle fused at some point.
Even with all of this his spirits are high. He still teaches ground school for skydiving and has been doing some contracting consulting.

we are truly blessed
Sorry for the long story.....
But a little background on us

much love to you

Those sweet toesies! Are you allowed to touch them? (I am not allowed to touch Jax's really :p).

That story about your hubby is pretty incredible - glad to hear you all have kept your spirits :bighug:

Work the juice, Chicamonkey :cat:

That is a difficult story to hear! I'm glad though that your DH has a positive outlook and doesn't let it get him down! Some people when faced with adversity just give up...

Chica is going to help you focus on other things...Keep working that juice Chica! Give your Chica and your DH a hug/scritches from us down the road here!
