Dolly's ear is really red. I use Neosporin ointment. Could she get an infection from poking. I never use the same lancet. I apologize if this is not the place to ask.

Of course you can ask that here! :bighug: I think the Neosporin ointment should prevent any problems. Why are her ears red? Do you use a lancing device or just free hand with the lancet? If you poke the marginal vein. there is more bruising, so try avoiding that. I can't avoid it 100% of the time either.

Never used a lancing device, too noisy. She only lets me use one ear, right ear, since the beginning. Of course I have hit the vein before :(. It’s just so pink, it’s happened before after frequent pokes but it is a large area that is pink. She’s 126 AMPS. haven’t put it on her spreadsheet yet. She’s been seriously angry with me since last night. She snaps at me when I touch her. Making her angry growling sounds. More a sound of annoyance.
