Charlie move down to 0.75 units because of his numbers. Last night before his PM shot his numbers were only 112 so I only gave him 0.5 units. At +4 they were 88. Does that mean I only give 0.25 this morning because they went below 90? His numbers this morning is 117
Thank you

He is doing very well, but more often than not back-to-back reductions don't hold. Let us see how he does. Meanwhile, you could give a thought to whether you want to follow TR. TR helps us hold a dose in which a cat sees normal numbers (50-99 on a human meter) for longer - giving the pancreas time to heal.

Ok I am going to go re-read TR now to get it fresh in my head.

Charlie is responding very well to insulin and seeing great numbers. You don't want to lose the momentum. But with TR, you need to get at least one test per cycle in addition to pre-shot tests.

I am going to start testing more often to get a better idea of what his sugars do after he eats and an hour or 2 before he gets his shots. Hopefully it will help me understand how to move to TR. It sounds like it is the best way to go with Charlie I just have to read more about it to understand it better. I think with more testing numbers, some help from people like you on the group and educating myself more I will be able to do it.

Sounds like a plan! :-)

Could you please take-off the "?" prefix in your thread title change it to reflect only the BG numbers? We ask this so that folks scanning the forum for questions know that it has been answered and can move to questions that need answering - especially those where the CG is waiting to give a dose and stalling for a answer.

Sure. I think I changed it so it is right. Could you check just to make sure I did it right, Please.

The usual nomenclature we follow is:
<Date> - <Kitty's Name> - <BG Numbers> - <Question, if any>

So yours right now would be "1/11 - Charlie - AMPS 117" :-)

One last thing! Could you please delete the sheet titled "Form Responses" in your SS? I'm not sure what it is meant to be. If it something for your own use, could you drag to the far right so it is at the end?

I am not sure what the sheet titles "Form Responses" is or where I can find it to delete it. I am heading out right now to pick up some stuff from the Pharmacy but will check back when I get home and try to fix it.
Thanks

If you go to your SS, the first sheet/tab in the SS is a blank sheet with the name "Form Responses" on the tab at the bottom.

That is there, I think, so that when I put my world numbers in my chart it changes them to the US and automatically puts them in the US chart, with out me having to calculate each number I put in. My husband is away for the next few days for work but when he comes back I can get him to check it and try to delete it if he can, he is the one who set this up for me because I don't know what I am doing on the computer. I did move it though.
Thanks

Thanks! :-)

As long as its moved to the end, its fine.

Great Thanks. His numbers at +5 are 97 and I can not go any lower so this evening I will have to switch to TR? And do I post on this post or create a new post if I need help with his evening dose?
Thanks again for all the help

There have been 3 different doses in the last 3 cycles on account of SLGS reductions so the depot will need to adjust to one dose. I suggest you hold 0.25U for 3 days (6 cycles) and see what his numbers look like.

If you are then comfortable with switching to TR, we can take dose increases per TR if required.

What do you think @tiffmaxee ?

You can post on the same thread for today. We ask members to create a new thread every day so that they don't become too long for people to read in order to help you.

The thread title is modified to add the numbers for the day:

1/11 - Charlie - AMPS 117, +5 97, PMPS *** etc

OK Thank you. I will keep his does at 0.25 for the three days and then reassess.
If I need help this evening I will modifty the title with his numbers I take today.
Thank you :)
I am going to go get a couple of hours sleep now before my daughter gets home from school since I was up most of the night.

I like this plan. TR will give you the best chance at remission and

At the very least will get his bg controlled. The depot of the higher doses and the needed reductions under SLGS makes it hard to decide in advance if this dose will be enough and TR will get it figured out quickly.
