Goodmorning from us!

Chnoudi didn't want to make me happy second day in a row and decided to show me a blue AMPS. :banghead: However, 10m after the shot I tested again (I'm desperate -I really don't know why I did it) and Bg was 99.

But, actually in this thread I want to mention that she didn't ate her Bozita lc (4%) this morning.
It was an opened can from yesterday and sometimes she snobs it wants a new-opened. I didn't have stock because my delivery is delayed and will come tomorrow. So, I gave her Leonardo finest selection pouch-pure chicken, which has 3% carbs, according to the "Food info for UK" list.
I hope it's ok...

So another day of food experimentation to keep her above 50! :)

Did she have a snack at +9 last night?
99 and 105 are more or less the same since there could be a meter variance of as much as 20%

Give her MC at +1 and +2 and see how she fares. It is all trial and error!
Giving her MC at +3 or later seems to send her to higher greens for the rest of the cycle.

As always, I could be wrong and cats are very unpredictable! :banghead:

To tell the truth, I have doubts if she ate her +9 snack.. If it was her or the male cat.
I mean... If she didn't eat her lc now, she would have eaten it 3 hours ago?
I woke up my bf to ask him ( +9 is his job because I need some rest these hours ) and told me that Chnoudi didn't eat at first , but then started licking it. A few minutes later, he saw that the bowl was empty and withdrawed it, but he is not 100% sure because he was very sleepy. (Okk boys will be boys, I have to do also this from now on) He told me that the other cat was not in the room...I don't know...
It could be a reason for this 105, but maybe it's my need to find a reason...
Yes, they are very unpredicable...Ughh!

Thank you Bhooma! :bighug: Let's see what +1 will be

Maybe feeding MC at +1 prevented the drop at +2 and later drops. So it might be better to feed the MC at +1 rather than +2.
It is all trial and error. We just keep experimenting and see. :-)

61 @ +4? No more MC! Let's see if she stays up with just LC. You can also stop testing every 30 mins. Can test at +5 next.

I missed your thread yesterday.
You are doing great.
how is she with the food? eating OK?
Once George got into regular greens he became less greedy, without the high BG she will not be feeling as hungry.

Hello Gill!! :bighug: You really think we are doing great? I almost had a heart attack this morning with these two blues.. I don't know what happened.. I suspect that the Purina pro plan (6%) caused this but we can't be sure..
I'm waiting for the bozitas today, I called the pet shop and begged them.
Oohh you are into my mind, I wanted to ask about this! I ve noticed too, she is not that hungry and I was quite worried! Also, I think she lost weight... However, she seems perfect, healthy and happy...

I'm wondering that too? Was it the purina that used to make her spike earlier when you first started steering with food?
It has added sugars.... and is high LC at 9%., and has some additives in it. It seems to be affecting her when you she gets the main meal, and therefore a higher carb load.

I remember one member who found that her cat reacted to the added sugars in Felix I think it was, even though it was LC it would make him spike like crazy

Added sugars? Wow this is an amazing information ! Yes, it was the Purina pro plan and the Interga that I used to give and made her spike! These two are LC but Chnoudi reacts to them as if they were MC!
It was my last choice yesterday, I didn't have something else to feed...
However, today that I gave Bozita again, she had 113 at +1... :blackeye:
Isn't it something I should be worried about?

It's almost as if she is not getting quite the duration and overlap of the doses that she was, so the cycle is running out of insulin action before the next shot onsets.

could be lack of duration or she's onsetting a bit later, or a bit of both. The duration can be affected by the carbohydrate load, which since we know that the proplan is a little higher in carbs than the bozita (9% versus 4%) perhaps it is just shortening it enough to give you that little blue blip.
See what happens tonight and tomorrow morning
