01/01 Cole OTJ Trial Day 3 / AMBG 67/PMBG 106

When I needed an oncologist and was going to have to wait a week, I went through the back door by going to the attached ER. Of course that wasn’t during Covid. More love, light, and healing from me.

I wanted to let you know that I recently went this route for a friend with a rescue who needed to get into the U system & could not wait 3-4 months for a new patient appointment. Things have become very backed up at U settings and specialist offices due to staffing issues so wait times can be an issue.

It will ultimately depend on the IM in an ER, but often if you say you want them admitted to internal medicine, they will admit them when there is good reason to do so & in order to get them to the proper specialist.

Prayers :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thanks so much. If the weekend goes ok I'll be asking my vet Monday am when the appt is. If I'm not satisfied then this will be the route I go. If the weekend doesn't go well - then I'll be heading there anyway and push for the specialist.

You are welcome. Wishing you the best & maybe someone cancels and you slide into their spot :bighug:
.....that is happening a lot these days as well :).

Blue tonight - I think this my fault as I was trying to tempt Cole to eat and forgot one of the tuna pates he likes is actually MC - probably had less than 1/2 tbs before he walked away but i guess we'll see in the morning.

Barely eating :(

Almost everyone gets a blue during the OTJ trial. You have a lot on your mind right now and Cole will bring it back down.

Congratulations on day 3 :joyful::woot::D ,

It’s still in normal range. If it will make you feel better test again in 3-4 hours and I bet you see green. Not at all necessary to do though. Just relax and test at AMPS is what I would do.

Don't sweat the blue. Jazzy had some a well.
Poor Cole, I hope he eats a little bit more for you. Hoping the weekend goes well and you get what you need for veterinary care for him without any issues. Thinking of you both :bighug:
