Melita are you going to be busy with family over Christmas?
Just wondering if it's going to be tricky to manage if chnoudi keeps going green.

Τhe truth is that I wanted to make a thread asking this...
Tomorrow and at Christmas day I am just planning to go for a lunch at friends' house.
I can handle this, it will be after her +6, for 2-3 hours I think it won't be a problem... What do you think? :confused:

The important think is at New Year's Eve and the days before this, that my parents will come to Athens... At the moment I don't want to think about it... :(
 
The problem will be mainly in the morning cycle. At night, after 10, it's forbidden to get out, so I'll at my home for her evening cycle
 
You can take a reduction, like many of us do when we go on vacation, be side of the depot you want to do this a couple of cycles before you parents come to stay. We usually reduce by 0.5u.
That's assuming that the timings will be ok for you to shoot her at her normal time, you keep the reduction until for the couple of days your parents are over then you take the dose right back up.

Have a look at December 2015 for George, I had family over for a few days and he was starting to throw greens so that's what I did because I knew it would be difficult.

This alternative makes me feel much better!!! I do not intend to be out all day, but if she is in greens I will not be able to leave for more than 1-2 hours ... My parents will be here 12 / 29-1 / 2. I don't want it, but maybe I will need to do the vacation dose... Thank you so much !!!:bighug: I will ask again when the day comes
 
The reason for the MC rather than LC is that it is still a bit early in the cycle, if she had been over 60 I would have gone for LC but in the 50's it would be nice to bump her up early on so that you are not spending hours dealing with her being in the low 50's

We took a couple of vacations when george was on insulin, my friend would shoot and test him, but I didn't want her to have to deal with low greens so this was something we did to keep him safe. He always recovered really well.

Yes, they arrive in the morning . Is it a problem to keep the vacation dose for 4 days?? Are they too many?

No I've kept them for just over a week while we were in UK visiting family.

She's not making it easy, I think you could try a teaspoon of LC, see if she will still surf with that.
I might check again at +4.5

Have a look at january 20th I went away for 4 days, George was starting to see very green cycles not dissimilar to Chnoudi and at the time I felt he was unpredictable.

I took the vaction dose down two days before we went on holiday there's a link to the thread on the ss you can see the reasoning behind that decision.

I was hoping she would surf for you.
But obviously she wants to make a point.
We heard you Chnoudi, no need to make a fuss, up now and stay up
 
When they pop up above 50,!we want to see two consecutive tests above 50 before we stop the HC.

I might just give her a teaspoon of HC but without the honey.
