Of course I had a fur shot of his Levemir this AM. Grrrrr. Haven’t done that in forever! So his next cycle’s numbers will be interesting. I just got him out of pinks because of his Tresaderm but I guess I put him right back in them. :(

Could you put FS along side his dose this morning in the units cell. That way it's obvious what happened.

So fur shots are also an opportunity to try some mid cycle R to keep a lid on things. How'd you feel about another 0.75 R at +6 or +7? Provided he's still on his way up of course.

I just got this message and it’s already +9.5. Fingers crossed it doesn’t happen again, but if it does, would I administer the R the same amount as the AM regardless of what his BG is at +6-7, or based on what his BG is at the time of mid-cycle? Thanks for your help! And I just adjusted his SS. Probably due to the FS, his R nadir at +4 was higher than his AMPS. I really screwed stuff up!

Don't worry, fur shots happen. The larger depot will help him through.

If you want to try R mid cycle, you use it when you know he's on his way up. I'd start with a bit less than your preshot R dose to start, based on his BG at the time, to see how he does with it. Then adjust based on data.

Howie was at 409 at +10. Assuming he’s not going to get lower, what do you recommend for an R dose tonight? I will feed and shoot at 730pm CST. I had been giving him 1 unit for anything 300+. I appreciate any dosing and scaling advice now that we have some data (even before today’s snaffoo). Thanks!
