Hi everyone, when I woke up this morning it was apparent my cat wasn't feeling well. He kept squatting like he needed to urinate or defecate, but with no success. And he vomited up his breakfast. I took him to the vet and after blood tests and xrays, it was determined that the cause was not his diabetes. They administered fluids and the hope is he will be able to defecate tonight. Problem is, my cat that is always hungry, won't touch his food.
My question is, I'm about an hour away from giving him his evening insulin shot. But if he isn't eating, do I still give it? He is on Lantus, 2 units twice a day.
Thank you in advance.
