If his nadirs creep up then I think the options I was given was hold the dose or increase if I would monitor. Jax is back to 1.25 for his third time :p
 
Diane, you could try "fattening" up the dose, instead of doing a full 0.25U increase.
That is another option for you.
It will be really hard to fatten the dose, but easier if you use calipers to measure the dose.

Take what Carla said into account, if you do decide to increase the dose.
Meaning, monitor more.

You aren't going to believe this but I think I didn't give Tyler his insulin tonight :banghead::banghead:
I was busy doing something, then tested him, then got his food ready.

I walked into the kitchen just now 10:00 PM and saw the syringe sitting on top of the cabinet, it had the dose still in it.
I just can't believe I did that.

Well no insulin tonight , wonder how high he'll be tonight and tomorrow morning.
Guess I'll find out.
I think I'm the one getting dementia now

Edit, now it doesn't look like I forgot to shoot last night, by the looks of his numbers

I once found a full syringe the next day and wasn't sure if I missed the AM or PM dose from the day before. Tyler will be fine. The cycle count starts over with a fur shot.

Hi Carla , I have no idea what happened last night, by looking at his numbers last night and this morning, it looks like I gave it to him. My mind is all screwed up between worrying about my dad, Ashley is in the worst pain for the last 4 days, she just wants to die.
Maybe when I found the syringe last night on the cabinet it looked like I didn't give it, I just looked at it quickly. I might have put it back up there after shooting for some
reason. So I assume the cycle doesn't start over because his numbers are good?
