12/7 Chloe AMPS 225

With SLGS a reduction has been earned. Her new dose is .25. When you shoot hours late, do you then give her next shot 12 hours later?

I was going to. I missed her shot time again last night and didn't shoot until 10 pm. She woke me again at 7 am this morning, which is when I got the 83 reading. I fed her and went back to bed. Next time I woke up at 8:30 am, she was even lower, at 57. I gave her a few treats and will test again now, 10 am. What does she need to be above to inject her. And you say only .25?
@Critter Mom

I suggest no shot this morning because:
1. Chloe's numbers are too low to shoot.
2. Chloe is not interested in food.
3. It will allow you to get back to your preferred shot time tonight with the new dose of 0.25 units, no matter how high she might be.

@tiffmaxee
2 things and you're going to be mad at me. I was going to shoot her right after 60 minutes at 7pm, but a friend called and I forgot until 8 pm. I did shoot .25.
2nd thing, I dropped the pen. Luckily the cap was on, but when I looked there were lots of little bubbles in the insulin. Does that mean it's bad now? How long before I should start a new pen?

It’s okay to shoot late. Just make sure not to shoot more than 30 minutes early in the morning. Bubbles won’t ruin the insulin. As long as it’s clear and not cloudy and doesn’t have any particles in it it should be fine.
BTW when I read your first sentence I thought you were going to say you didn’t reduce. I’m glad that you did.
