11/30/20 - Squeaky - AMPS=146 +1=178 +2=182 +3=181 The blues were good while they lasted!

Hi Friends, I only have a chiropractor appointment at 1:30 this afternoon, so I'm planning on shooting. I am hoping one or some of you will be around in case I need clarity?

So I need to just keep feeding every little bit, and test every hour to make sure he doesn't go hypo before his numbers start to go up after the shot kicks in?

He didn't eat a big breakfast, but I have some tasty food I can entice him with.

Sounds good. Remember the +2 is usually a good indicator of what’s to come. Lower than pretest and you will likely have an active cycle. About the same, crap shoot. A lot higher, likely to not be active.

Thank you Elise. A question for my understanding, please. What is the maximum healing situation that would happen this morning? If it could be PERFECT. Thanks in advance.

Another question. At what point do I apply honey. If his numbers reach a certain low, or if I see symptoms of hypoglycemia as per the sticky sheet? (I screwed up royally last time.....)

I’m not understanding your question.

Thanks Elise, one at a time....., so there are several things that could happen today. What would be the very best thing that could happen?

1. He could go below 50. Would that earn him a reduction?
2. He could hover between 50 and 100. Would that be exactly what we are trying to do?
3. He could stay blue for most of the day. Would that be helpful to not have him bouncing up and down?

Does my question make sense now? Thank you so much.

Yes, under 50 earns a reduction. Between 50-100 would be wonderful. If he stays blue and green that’s wonderful too. If you can prevent any big drops that will help prevent a bounce. Until he gets used to being in lower numbers he might still bounce. As he gets used to them he will bounce less or at least they will last forever a shorter amount of time. Only Squeaky can answer those questions.

Have you looked at other people’s spreadsheets? Check out @Patty and Blue @Shiloh567

Oh, so all good! Wow the spreadsheets are interesting.

I would give hc if he falls under 50. If he doesn’t come up in 30 minutes then more with a little honey.

Thank you. Now I feel better prepared. Guess what both his +1 and +2 are also blues! We have NEVER before had this good series of tests!!!!! He's been blue definitely since +5 last night and probably before! YAY! This is the best encouragement I have seen so far!

Thank you for your help!!!

Nice blues. I hope Squeaky keeps surfing safely. Furball is staying high. I'll probably have to increase her dose next weekend when I'm off and can monitor.
Nice numbers! Always love the beach :)

Have a great day Jan!
Surf it, Squeaky! Work the juice!
Have a great day!

Thanks Carla, Lyla and Sue! We're surrrrrrrrrffffffffffffing! Wishing the same for your kitties!!!

So if blue is the beach, is green the forest? Go for a hike?

Green is the lagoon. You go surfing in the lagoon. ;)
Oh Squeaky you are doing swimmingly...........stay away from the sharkies or toofy creatures (lime greens).
He’s bouncing but look how long he was in healing numbers!
Oh dear, looks like he's bouncing. Don't lose heart, he'll be back in the blues again soon enough.

Paula, Carla, Katherine, and Elise, thank you for your messages! (Wish I was able to track everyone else like you guys are, it's all I can do to just keep track of Squeaky!!!!)

Yay this was the BEST DAY we've had in the last 3 months! I feel very encouraged about the surf and the future possibility of doing well. Thank you for being our cheerleaders!!!!! Yes I do think his bounces are not lasting so long, I do feel very encouraged by the last two days. Thank you all for your help and support!!!!! AND Squeaky and I are both doing better with all aspects of this whole thing. It just took us a while to get used to it. (And a lot of coaching from all of you! Many thanks!)
