11/30/20 Chicamonkey Please help. AMPS 497/+2 411/+7 356/+11 454

I agree with @Bandit's Mom - the depot needs more help building - after that initial excitement with the larger dose none of her numbers are an indication that she's getting enough insulin yet.

On TR an increase tonight would be in order. Let's hope that's enough to help build that depot and soon you'll start to see better numbers - it's those nadirs that are the 'magic' - not those pre-shot numbers.

I hope Monkey comes down for you soon! Right now it's a matter of trying to find the magical dose. It's a process.:)

One more alternative for you, you could hold the dose one more cycle (tonight) and increase to 1.0 units tomorrow morning as long as you don't see anything below 300. TR allows increases of 0.5 units if all you are seeing is nadirs above 300. That extra cycle wait will also let you know if she's clearing any bounce due to the blues on the 27th from the accidental 2 units dose. We try not to increase on the cycle that bounces are clearing, because that can cause extra momentum on top of the increase.

My concern is that I work all day tomorrow and if she does have a hypo response( my husband is handicapped) and might bot be able to help her

I don't think that should be a big concern if you just go up to 1U in the morning. The 2U dose didn't drop her into dangerous numbers so I doubt if 1U is going to now.

Also, it would be the first dose at 1U ....it usually takes several cycles before you start to see the full action from the dose.

If your husband will be home, could he feed her? Most cats, if they are going too low, will look for food. China would demand it. There was an urgency about her pleas for food that were a lot worse than the usual "hey mom, dinner was 10 minutes ago" plea.

Yes he can feed her. Even though he’s bed bound I pack a cooler for him and her !!

PS I found my ice cube molds... so now when I leave she can have an anchor fancy feasticle :)

I see you increased tonight on a potential bounce breaking cycle. I hope you can get a test in a couple hours, looks like she's coming down briskly.
