He’s still on the same dose. So far he’s doing well. Gained weight, big belly and just SOLID. He seems tired. He eats, uses the litter box and sleeps. Occasionally picks a fight with one of our male cats who wants to be alpha; Moe’s not ready to give up his leadership role just yet, though. Last visit the vet said he was doing well, though kidney values are creeping up a bit. So, overall, okay for now.

That's good. I fed Ollie according to calories needed so she didn't gain weight like acros do. She felt much heavier yet like you say, it's solid, and she only weighed 11-12 pounds.
 
Growth hormone and IGF-1 are two of the major building blocks in muscle production too. I've seen acros referred to as little football players, all solid muscle.

I too fed Neko so she didn't gain more than I wanted her too. She was part Maine Coon, her vet thought she was thin below 13 lbs and I told Neko she couldn't go as high as 15, though she got close. One of her acro symptoms was arthritis, and extra weight made it harder for her to move comfortably.
 
Moe currently weighs 18 lbs. He definitely needs to lose a few pounds but it’s hard when there are six other cats being fed. They’re all eating the same food, but he will clean every bowl if we aren’t diligent about picking them up. We need to do better.
