Lily measured both 180 and 203 before her breakfast. I've given her I think just under half a unit and more breakfast. This is 10 minutes ago. Just seeking a bit of reassurance that I've done the right thing. Also, its promising that she's lower every morning right?

I will be but she was still quite low last night so I left it given how low she'd dropped yesterday. Not sure whether to give 0.5 twice or maybe try her on 0.25 twice to be safe

If you're worried try 0.25and if in a couple days it's not enough bump it up. Your insulin doesn't build up in the system.... It's in and out in a cycle

I'm sure she is. It's type 1 juvenile diabetes that doesn't produce any insulin. Your cats numbers look good. If your goal is remission, you'll want two shots per day.

Thank you Janet. She's gone to 4.4 at AM+3 so none of yesterday's more dramatic dip. Hopefully I've judged her dose better and can do the same this evening.

Still quite early in the cycle, Liz. I'd suggest keeping a close eye on Lily's BG for the next couple of hours in case she might dip a bit lower.

Fast drop. Keep an eye out. Maybe give her a little snack. I'd definitly do 0.25 in the future after seeing that drop. Looks like that pancreas is getting back to work!!! !!

Agreed, I'll test her again in half an hour - looks like +3.5 is the usual nadir point. She's had two snacks as well, one after each post-shot test.

Come on tiny pancreas, you can do it!

Also realised that she was at +2.5 not +3 (I really need to stick to a fixed time - at least I wrote it on the fridge) so yes early still.
