11-21 TyLER AMPS-77/65+3/75+7/PMPS-87/62+2.5

Tyler is looking good. :D How is your dad? :bighug:
Oh Carla , he just keeps calling us and saying we just dumped him there, we threw him away.
The Alzheimer's is not that bad, he knows what's going on, can carry on a conversation with the aids and nurses, It's not as if he doesn't know what the hell is going on, the stroke was mild,
He does need help getting in the shower they told us, he sits on a chair, needs
help with dressing,
Like I said he lived with my sister and there is no way she could have taken care of
him by herself, her husband and son are at work, what if he fell, which they told us
he already did.
She has a finished basement and there would be no way he could make the stairs..
If she had to go out , how could you leave him alone.

They are doing physical therapy, he had to be quarantined for 14 days and take
3 tests to be sure he didn't have the virus.
He should get out of the room and unto a room with a roommate on the 22nd
or 23 rd, that's if they have a room for him that has a male roommate.

I can't imagine how he will be with a roommate, hopefully better.
He'll be able to then go and eat in the cafeteria with everyone else.
Do activities, but he's not the activity type lol
Now if they had a crap table there he'd be happy lol
Liked to go to the casinos with his friends every now and then.

He just keeps saying I want out, we tell him that he's not strong enough yet
and how could Cheryl my sister take care of him.

Right now with the virus , it's increased so much here in NJ we don't know
if we can go visit, my sister is supposed to go up there on the 28 th.

They said to call a day before and find out.
She did face time with him twice , said he looked tired , he lost 12 pounds
We told him he has to eat.
He is one not to sit still, never was so he is constantly leaving his room and walking
around , but he shouldn't.
They let him sit with them at the nurses station and talk.

So like I said the worst part is his mind is still all there, just forgets things at times.
The place told us not to feel guilty or take to heart what he says to us,
but how can't you when he says we threw him away.

Ashley is just sick over the whole thing, he is like a father to her, still asks
me how's she is. She hasn't talked to him yet because she's having a really
bad time right now with her damn pain disease.
She's been at a pain level of 10 for 7 days already
I wish to god I could change places with her.

Sorry I wrote a novel lol
I will call him today .
One good thing by brother's place of work is only 5 minutes from the place.
So he can set up a visit maybe on his lunch hour, or after he gets out of work.
We have to set up visits, you get 45 minutes to visit.

Well that's what's going on.
Thank you so much for asking about him Carla, I appreciate it.
My dad had a long time friend that found out he was sick and would need taking care of.. Wife had passed , only had nieces.
Well anyway he didn't want to be taken care of and no nursing home.
He jumped out the window 6 floors up.
Takes a lot of balls to do that.
He said in a note he didn't want to because burden.
That was the last friend my dad had left from the old days.
It sucks getting old, that's all I think about
Now aren't you glad you asked lol

Looking quite steady there, Tyler :D

Hang in there Diane - I can't imagine all the decisions and everything on your shoulders. I know it's easier said than done but your decision are from a place of love for all the people involved. Glad your dad is nearby and I'm so sorry about Ashley :bighug::bighug::bighug: Breaks my heart.

I'm so sorry things are so difficult with your dad. You and your sister did what you had to do for him to get the care he needs. Just know you're doing the best thing for him. I hope you can visit him soon. I'm sorry things are so bad for Ashley right now. Sending prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thinking of you and your family, Diane. Sending positive energy to everyone. Life can be so unfair. :bighug::bighug:
@Butters & Lyla Aww thanks Lyla, you are right about that, life can really suck at times
I have always said to Ashley if I ever have to be put in a nursing home, forget about it,
I wouId do myself in before that would happen.
Ashley is never going to have any quality of life with this
friggin disease she has, stuck in the house for 15 years
already because she can't be around any noise, a breeze, the cold
anything that goes on outside causes her pain.
She has spread to her arms ,legs, private area.
It's a cruel disease.
If I go first there would be no one to care for her, so this may sound sick,
crazy or whatever, we would go together.
Sorry if that sounds so awful but that's the way it is.
I worry every day about the future.
So yes life can really be unfair :bighug::bighug::bighug:
@Butters & Lyla
