Since Gideon is 80 @+2, he will get some 10% Nulo food. Perhaps I should have taken that decrease. If my husband hadn't checked his BG at +2, Gideon would surely be in the LOW GREENS.

I am at a cat check up appt at the moment, with another kitty. Good thing hubby is home.

Have a great day, and give your kitties an extra hug today!

Good catch!
He seems to be holding steady in the 80's with the 10% carb food. If I fed him lower carb food, like 2-4%, I think he would have dropped into the 60's.

Do you have a no shoot number you would recommend for tonight in case he drops before PMPS? He does seem to not follow a normal bell curve pattern.
I am asking because it is one of my work nights. Hubby has been stretched to the limit, though he definitely is still willing to get up and test during night. Just don't want to have him chasing the numbers through the night.

Thanks!

He’s tightly controlled now so the cycles will be pretty flat you won’t see a curve. Let’s see how the day goes toward the end of the cycle for a no shot number.I hate to see you skip.

I don't want to skip either. We have all put a lot of effort (including this group) into Gideon's BG under control.

PMPS=108. Fed 6% carb food. Will feed 9% in a couple hours at +2 when I retest, then off to work. Plan tonight= son will test at +4 or +5 and husband will test at +7 or +8 and feed whatever percentage food is necessary. Then tomorrow night, we will do it all again.

With the test strips we use being approximately $1 each, I am thankful I have a 2nd job.....for kitty money....:-)

Unfortunately, at my job, I can't get to the FDMB page. I have to leave my cell phone in my car, so I can't use that to get to the site. I will just hope Gideon doesn't take a dip. He was pretty stable today in the GREENS and some BLUES. Can't even call home on most units.

Also...my vet wants my to bring Gideon for a Glucosamine test. The vet has my spreadsheet, but he still wants to do this test. Since he is very good to me, I am going to have it done. Based on Gideon's recent numbers, it should be much better than it has been in the past. So perhaps next week, I will schedule the tech visit for the test.
