Hi guys!
Do you think I should give him his shot tonight?
Tested him 20 min ago and he was at 53.
Thank you!

What is he now?

I can't give dosing advice, I can only parrot back to you what has been told to me--on TR, you can shoot anything over 50.

And then, from the last paragraph of the TR sticky: Perhaps the most important guideline in shooting low is that any time you shoot your lowest ever number, you should get a +1 and +2 to give you an idea of how the cycle will go. If the +1 is not higher than PS, or if +2 is much lower than PS, that means “pay attention” over the next few hours. Those tests will also help you become even more data ready for the next time you are presented with a low preshot reading.
Tight Regulation: Becoming Data Ready to Shoot / Handle Lower Pre-shot Numbers

Until someone experienced comes along, can you peruse the above sticky?

Sulls looks like a love!

Will you be able to monitor him tonight? If you haven't fed him, can you test him again and see if he is still dipping?

Yes, can monitor him tonight. I haven’t fed him. Tested him 55 min ago, 25 min ago and just now. He tested 53 every time.

He isn't dipping - even without food. That is good.
With TR he hasn't yet earned a reduction. If you can monitor him and have HC and strips, you can shoot him. Get a +1 and +2.

Don't fill him up too much with the first meal. You want him to be able to eat through the cycle if you need to prop him up with food. I would break his meal between PMPS and +1. Maybe even +2.

A reduction was earned last night. The new dose is 1.75. Please reduce tonight as I see you shot 2.0 this morning. 1.75 is his new dose going forward.
