jt and trouble (GA)

Member Since 2009
My friends kitty just had surgery to remove three mammary tumors. Only one was not able to be fully removed.
That was last Wednesday. Today her kitty feels warm to the touch and her wound is still seeping. Are these red flags???
My friend is really worried about the seeping. Her Vet (a large animal vet) is NOT concerned. Shes located in a small rural area in Australia.

Any insight would be greatly welcomed.

A little warm is normal and a little clear or blood tinged clear seepage is OK too.
What is bad is yellow white pus. Also, I would take the cat's temperature and if the cat has a fever I wouod be very concerned.

A normal temperature in cats ranges from 100.4º to 102.5º Fahrenheit. A fever in cats occurs when temperatures rise above 102.5º F. Although fevers may be helpful in fighting disease, a fever higher than 106º F can damage organs. Contact the vet right away if your cat has a high fever.
