Magellan is going to drive me to distraction with his numbers. I know for a fact that he did not get his paws into any contraband. So I'm at a loss to explain his numbers for a while they where real good.. or getting that way. That is until he got into contraband a few days back. Could he still be bouncing from that???

Can you write in the remarks column when he got into the contraband please and any other relevant information. That would be very helpful thanks. At the moment I don’t know when he got into the contraband so can’t comment on if it is still influencing the BG.

It is very possible he is dropping low overnight the last few nights and bouncing up high at AMPS. I would start off by trying to get a couple of tests in overnight to see what is happening.
Are you leaving any food out for him to eat overnight?

is it 75 now at +1.5? if so, then the strip was not faulty?

wow! i did not know it was possible for a cat to dive from 488 to 48 in one hour!
neither did I know they could dive like that.. but it is Magellan and he loves to show off, and that 75 came with a lot of honey

PMPS. 488
+1 48. Honey, refused food
+1.5 75 Ate some hc
+2 120

Is this correct? if you could write in the remarks column of the SS what you fed and when it would be helpful please Julia.

I would test again in 1 hour and offer him some low carb food now to try and keep him in safe numbers. You will need to keep testing him throughout this cycle as he could drop again,
