Hi Patty,

How are yourself and Blue doing today?

Just so I understand properly, can I ask whether you gave the the straight 0.5IU or the fat 0.5IU dose this morning?

Just the regular .5 unit...didn't know there was a fat one....when do you use that?

We're good. I could use some sleep. It was a busy weekend and I was up with Blue as well as worried about him. I've been thinking about adding another cat fountain for him. He likes running water. I have been adding tuna water to his meals but I know I shouldn't continue that. I've been on Amazon searching but I need to get busy and do some things.

Are you feeling better? And Noodle?

It should be OK to just add plain water to his regular feeds and add only a couple of teaspoons of tuna juice to a bowl of water for additional fluids. Try to dilute it to the point where he stops showing interest and then add a small drop more to the next bowl. That should hopefully give you maximum hydration for minimum tuna juice. The water fountain also sounds like a good idea.

Do you measure the 0.5IU by aligning the edge of the plunger to the middle of the relevant line marking on the syringe? If yes, then to fatten the dose align the edge of the plunger with the bottom of the marked line. If you do decide to go with digital calipers it would be easier to measure these types of doses. I've not used them but maybe @tiffmaxee could give you some better pointers.

I was thinking about getting the caliper but started thinking about the craziness here with cats meowing and figured I'd never use it.
It's just so busy when I draw the injection. I'm winging it for now but could change if I start having problems. The video I watched had a light box and just was too much for me. I'm having trouble remembering everyone's medicine and special food. :arghh:

He's 541 now so still high. o_O
 
Hi Patty,

I'm concerned about Blue being high all day (and fairly high previous few cycles). If he's still high at PMPS I think you need to give serious consideration to going back up to the 0.75IU dose.

What do you think yourself? (And how are you fixed to monitor tonight if he has a strong response to the dose increase?)

My oven went out over the weekend so I'm searching for a replacement. They cost a lot of $$$. I was surprised.
It's a double wall oven so the bottom one still works okay, I think. I have some time to look. It's always something.
