Hi, I was finally able to get my spreadsheet to work in my signature. I have it up to date to this mornings 2 tests I've done. I also included the 3 sets of lab work he has had done in the last year on the lab results tab.
Diagnosed 3 Nov, vet originally prescribed 5 units of novalin twice per day. We didn't know to start testing until after the 3rd dose He is doing well on the new diet, in fact he actually turned his nose up at the rest of the hard kibble I offered.

If you see anything that we could be doing differently, please let me know.

Hi, I have assessed both your 3 Lab works, with latest date at high end in globulins, calcium, plasma glucose, and at lowest end of pottassium, and your starting insulin days, getting more into the yellows and blues as you go.
Impressed by your fast spreadsheet set up.

In February, he was diagnosed with early kidney disease, but they decided he didn't have diabetes. And then at this last appt, they said he has diabetes, but no kidney disease. Those two labs being polar opposites of each other really confuses me. What are your thoughts on the labs?

If it helps, the November 2019 labs were following a broken jaw trauma incident. The Feb 2020 labs were done to try to determine the cause behind his excessive peeing prior to putting him under to remove the jaw wire. Then this last vet appt was due to weakness and loss of muscle mass.

The Lab 3 Nov is consistent with zero own pancrea insulin diabetes. Those high end of globulins, calcium, can be caused due to all body cells end in starvation, due to lack of insulin , and also a bit due to inner light dehydration. Pottassium is the life essentail body salt, increased with the right food amount in regulation too.
Once you are further ahead in the diabetes food and nutrition, and insulin regulation, next lab will hopefully look better in those.
All well done by you!

Sarah, in the SS you have said ‘ pushed .5 at+2 in the morning’ on 11/8......does that mean you skipped the dose in the morning and gave it 2 hours later?
I did. I was told not to push insulin if they were below 200 (just basically because I was so new I'm guessing). He was below 200 at 6:30, but wasn't 2hrs later. Someone here recommended the .5
