Update on the feeding: She has been eating properly. Even throughout the night she was eating fine, she woke me up at the regular time of feeding, so I'm glad that her appetite is still there, maybe it was just a weird anomaly, I'm hoping it doesn't happen again.

In regards to the title...
Billo has been vomiting recently. She vomited yesterday and a few days before that too. It was right after feeding but she vomited twice in the span of a few hours. I'm taking her to the vet today for a check up and some blood work. Hopefully all goes well and its nothing too serious.

Did the vet give her anything for nausea?

I just got off the phone with the vet, a few things:

- I tested her about 20 min before her appointment and she was at 194.
- Vet said that her BG was around 252, based on the blood test that he took.
- tested her just now and she's at 214. Maybe increased stress levels caused her to bounce quickly and she's coming back down? Not too sure.
- Vet mentioned that her pancreatic enzyme and liver enzyme levels are normal, but her fructosamine levels were quite high

This was communicated verbally over the phone, I have asked him to forward me a copy of the results so that I can verify these values, just waiting on that.

He didn't give anything for the nausea, and when I asked him about the vomiting he suggested that she might be vomiting because of elevated BG levels, and he suggested to increase the insulin dose...but that doesn't make sense to me, I could be wrong though.

Maybe he was just trying to bring up some fur? Wanting to eat is really good!

Her appetite is really good! She ran to her bowl as soon as we got home, so I'm convinced that yesterday she was just experiencing a weird event. and honestly I've never seen Billo bring up some fur lol, her vomit always consist of food and it followed shortly after feeding.

What are your thoughts? thanks for checking in guys, I really appreciate it

Some kitties eat too fast, scarf and barf is what it's sometimes called.

You could try spreading her food out - far apart - on a bigger plate - so she has to move around a bit more to get at it...rather than all in a bowl. Sometimes that helps...

I'll definitely try that, that's a good idea.

Stress could have raised her bg for sure. It always did for Max. I agree it doesn’t make sense that she vomited from high bg! Scarf and barf seems more like it to me.

Yeah its kind of odd for high bg to cause vomiting. What do you guys think about the high fructosamine levels? I just got the report and it came as 556. normal range is between 191-349 umol/L

He hasn’t been spending a lot of time in normal numbers and the fructosamine is an average of the past two weeks. He’s not regulated because of that and bouncing. It took a year for me to get Max regulated so had we run a fructosamine he would have shown that he was not regulated either. We ran it once because my vet thought he might be going into remission based on the nadirs but it was high. Once regulated we ran it once and it was good. I would not be the least bit concerned at this point.

That's a relief, and that makes so much more sense. I hope Billo's Bg starts dropping and becomes regulated soon, I want these bounces to stoppppp lol
