Good morning!

PSA for Americans: If you haven't done so already, please go out there and VOTE TODAY! The future of our country depends on your single action!

Sending healing thoughts and scritches to all of the sick kitties and hugs to their beans who love them so! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Work that dose Ruby :bighug:

BTW, Katherine, I'm sure you'll see Ruby work the dose but it's always good to keep in mind it can take 6 cycles to fill the depot with the new dose. And I saw you ask last night about grabbing a +6 (I was asleep :)) - it probably would have been a good idea. I know it can get tiring but the data points help see how the cycles are going. I can't remember, do you leave food out overnight or have an auto feeder?

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Good morning Susanne! Yeah, I tried to stay awake but I knew today would be a big and anxious day so I had to give in to the sleepies! I leave food out for her right before I go to bed so I knew she would have some buffer if she did drop a bit. I have one of those microchip feeders that is amazing because it keeps Ruby's food separate from Olive's but sadly they don't come with timers yet.

Oh that's right! I remember now! Someone totally needs to invent one with a timer...like only open if between x and y time and you are cat A. Business opportunity ?

And if I'm super tired but need to test, I'll try to go to bed a little bit earlier and then set an alarm. Even snoozing for 20 minutes before I have to test again seems to help me personally. I get everyone is different though and has lives outside of FD :p

Deep breaths today (and all week...I read results may not be final until Friday...so just preparing for that incase that's the case :bighug:)

I hope Ruby comes back down today. With Furball if she drops more than 100 points from the last test I try to get anther test or leave extra food out for her.

Yes, I did leave food out for her. I would have done it anyway as its part of my before bed routine.

+6 419. Second day in a row when her AM +6 is actually higher than her AMPS! I don't understand what is going on. Could it be that I'm missing her nadir because it's happening earlier? But it shouldn't go up so quickly, right? She's been a little more lethargic these past two days but she's been eating well and I've been adding tablespoons of water to her FF. Her ketones are showing trace, but that has been very consistent.

I plan to take her to the vet tomorrow to install a Freestyle Libre and to do a blood panel. Maybe that will reveal something.

It could be new dose wonkiness. The depot needs to build too. I wonder what happened the last two nights after +4 as well.

I will make it a point to find out tonight. Once we have the Libre installed the PM numbers will be at our fingertips.

Don't give it a second thought. All it would do is let you know for sure if she was lower and bouncing. It is trends we are looking for and now you know to get another test if dropping and you are able.

PMPS = 468. This is very alarming. Tomorrow we go to the vet and the poor thing will be even more stressed. I have never seen these sorts of numbers before.

I think there is a good chance you are just seeing a bounce from however low she went last night. It's nothing to worry about. She will come back down.
