I'm not sure about the hubs part. Is that like a lip? I do tend to mention calipers a lot, though. I use Canadian BD Ultra-Fine II syringes with my calipers. Ugh. Sorry, this is unlikely to be any help to you at all. I'm trying to think who else uses calipers for fine dosing. If I can recall someone, I'll come back and tag them.

I love nothing more than a challenge so I just tried to measure .1u in my syringe. I have a lip that goes around the top of the syringe, which means I have to use the small caliper arms when measuring, because I can slide them under the lip. But even with a 10x eye loup I could not make out the space between the small arms in order to measure .1u. And the large caliper arms cannot get close enough to the syringe barrel to measure.

So if I had to do a .1u dose, I'd probably do it like so: I'd measure a .2u dose and count the number of drops in the .2u. Then for each dose, I'd measure .2u, express half the number of drops to get the dose down to .1u, then administer it.

Just musing aloud. Hoping there is a better way.

That's a wonderful idea. I'll try to do it and then show my husband - he's the insulin man!
