I'm wrecked, and my little druggie is playing gastrointestinal catch-up big time: produced another big cowpat a few hours ago. Wonder whether part of the reason why she went so long without a bowel motion was down to pain making her reluctant to poop? She's eating more readily today: still needs prompting but hasn't been leaping away from the bowl after eating only a

Can't get a BP reading because she's really blissy and won't stop writhing around and trying to nuzzle me. :banghead:

Floating around in ecstasy...

Cats.

Hi guys,
Blue has been playing tonight so that was a relief. He's at 441 PMPS so still high but he's okay.
I know I need patience. Thanks for listening to me. :bighug:

Hope everyone is doing okay. I feel lucky to have power. There are people going to be without until Monday in some cases.
I'm so lucky both times mine went out that I got it back pretty quickly.

Mogs, how's Noodle tonight? I hope she's better.

Hi Patty,

I really feel for you and I can relate to how worried and frustrated you're feeling. :bighug: You have a very beautiful but very bouncy boy. (((Blue)))

I'm really glad to hear you have power. Whenever there's even the threat of a power cut over here it really freaks me out (massive PTSD trigger). My electricity supply company have me registered on their vulnerable list, for which I'm really grateful (proactive status updates during outages, prioritised for restoration of power, other support services).

Noodle's making up for the litter box strike: we had Son of Monster Poop this morning plus another more normal-sized splodge this evening. She ate much, much better today - without prompting. Also the vet called me back with some test results. She's negative for pancreatitis (Spec fPL result 1.5, reference range 0-3.5ug/L). Also her potassium levels are now back up and well within the normal reference range. Since she's been eating so much better since starting on the bupe and the Spec fPL was normal, it looks like the pain is arising from GI tract inflammation (worrying from an anaemia standpoint in addition to wanting to find a treatment for the inflammation itself.)

[Passed out before I could hit 'Post Reply' on this last night.]
