Then after in the celebration he was hugging and jumping with the others. He took his mask off for the official team picture but I was really shocked. I dont know if the other members of the team were aware. But one of them said in an interview afterwards "If I could trade places with Justin right now...I would" Now THATS being a team player!

I suspect similar. Even if he only dropped to the blues there was a fair difference between [PMPS] PM+2 and PM+7 (and I suspect he may have had at minimum a lower blue than the +7 last night).

I was thinking the same thing about him maybe dropping earlier than I tested him. He was still going down when I dosed him with the new amount.
I'll test him again before his meal in a few hours unless I should test sooner?

Another food question for you, Patty:

Which MC and HC food brands/flavour varieties do you use for steering Blue? (Sorry to ask again. I know you've posted this info before when Blue was having a low run but I can't remember what they were.  )

Merci beaucoup! :)

Is the above the Turkey variety?

Sorry to be a royal pain but is there any chance you could tell me the flavours of the different foods please, Patty? (I need the actual varieties in order to determine the amount of calories they contain.)

Meow Mix chicken & beef
FF seafood feast in gravy grilled
FF salmon feast in gravy grilled
FF tuna feast in gravy grilled
FF delights with cheddar grilled
SD gas biome chicken and vegetable stew
SD I/d dig care chicken

And off he goes...

Crazy right?

I hope you and your Noodle bug are doing okay!
We're going to have some bad weather coming through tonight and tomorrow morning. The hurricane Zeta is heading our way so we will having lots of rain, 60-mile per hour winds and possible tornadoes. I worry about my trees. They are all around my house. We might lose power so if you don't see me that's why. I'm hoping it bypasses us but we'll see.

I'll test Blue again at 9:30 unless I need to test sooner? Since he was heading back up I thought he would be okay until then.

That should be fine testing-wise, Patty.

Thank you so much for telling me about the expected storms. If you dropped off the radar with no advance warning I'd be worried sick about you two. I, too, hope the storm will pass you by.

The Noodle's not so good this evening. I'm a bit worried she might have a touch of pancreatitis. (She had a one-off flare a few years ago.) She was in fairly OK form this morning but she didn't eat anything last night or this morning and then threw up after eating a couple of treats at lunchtime (too much stomach acid). I've given her famotidine and her appy stimulant She's showing signs of discomfort this evening. I'm also a bit worried because she's been 'twitchier' this evening too. She's really not herself at the moment. :( (((Lúnasa)))

Oh no, now you have me worried. What will you do? I hope she doesn't have to be hospitalized.
Maybe the meds you gave her will kick in and she'll be able to hold down some food. I hope her BP is ok.
Are you going to bed soon? Must be late.
(((Mogs and Noodle bug)))

The meds are working and she's holding the food down OK, Patty, but I suspect eating is giving her GI discomfort. :(

I've decided to fast her overnight, firstly to give her system a rest, but secondly in the hope that I might be able to get her in to the vet tomorrow for a pancreatitis test (and possibly another CBC/Chem Panel to see where her potassium levels are at among other things). (((Noodle)))

I think her BP's OK though it's been tricky to get a reading this evening, and the last one in the most recent reading was completely out of range (she got very fidgety and may have shifted the cuff so don't think the data's valid).

It's 00:45 at time of writing. I'm absolutely knackered but my anxiety symptoms have been much worse over the last few days and the brain has gone into overdrive. Joys of PSTD...

@Idjit's mom put together a guide for insulin storage during a power outage.

Oh no, well it will have to be for future. I have never heard of Frio pouches. I'll start putting together something after this in case we get bad weather again, especially over the winter. We normally don't have really cold weather with snow, but occasionally we do and everything here is at a standstill. It's bad, but we don't have all the equipment to deal with it here. Afterall, we are the south!

Oh poor Noodle bug. Would she try some broth? I hope you can get her in tomorrow and hope you don't have to leave her. :bighug:
Keep us posted Mogs. I'll be thinking of you both.

Tonight PMPS is 409 and I'll take another test at +2 or +3?

I've managed to get her to take her daily complement of fluids. Thank the kitty gods for diluted cat soup! If it did turn out to be mild pancreatitis I would hope to manage it at home by adding pain relief to her regimen. If it's something else then will have to see what the vet says.

Blue is 410 + 2 so not much difference.

I'm glad you got her fluids done. Maybe that will help her feel better. A FB friend had her kitty diagnosed with pancreatitis the week after Blue. Her vet sent her kitty home with the exact same meds that Blue had with the addition of a pain med. I guess everycat is different, but hopefully you can treat yourself.
Good luck tomorrow.

Saoirse had chronic pancreatitis. Managing the condition is experience I wish I didn't have. ((((Saoirse)))) :( Hospital treatment can be of benefit because of the ability to deliver treatments and fluids via IV.

I think the watery soup has helped a bit, she's not looking quite so uncomfortable at the moment. Still no poop (after weeks of loose stools at least twice a day it's a bit of a worry when over 30 hours goes by without any deposits in the litter box...).

Thank you for the good wishes, Patty. :bighug:
