10/23 - GIDEON BLUE- AMPS=144, +1=154, +4=118, +5=139, +7=110, +8=128, +10=117, PMP=171, +2=231.

Well, Gideon has been surfing in the BLUE range all day. He has eaten his normal amount. I did give him a 9% carb food mid-day to keep him taking a real dip.
I am working tonight, so my husband is the monitor. As I have said, he will test when he goes to bed at 10PM (+3), and then get up once either at 12MID (+5) or 1PM (+6).

My question is, how low do I shoot tonight, since I am not home. In a couple of hours, it will be his PMPS test. So, I am just getting prepared to either shoot less, leave higher carb food, or both, based on his number.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

How low do you feel comfy shooting?

Your options, depending on PMPS will be to shoot the full dose, delay without feeding (if you are home a bit after PMPS), shoot a smaller dose, or skip. A smaller dose may not help, as the 2.5 unit depot may still control the first part of the cycle. Leaving higher carb food is always a good option if you are nervous, because it can give him higher numbers for a short while to keep him safe, but won't impact the depot.

I would shoot 120+, the full 2.5 units, and leave 13% carb food. I will be able to get a +1 and +2 before I go to work. Husband will get a +3, and +5 or +6. Instead of +5 or +6, husband could do later, but he will only test once during night, after he goes to bed at +3.

Thought we were going to have a completely BLUE day, but a YELLOW snuck in at +2=231. Still it was a very good day for Gideon Blue!
Husband will test at +3 and +6.
