23/10 Django AMPS=286, +3=301, +5=257, +7=324 Dose increase?

5 days ago, I increased from 1.5u 2x a day, to 2u 2x a day. While Django's numbers are marginally better, I'm wondering if I should maintain or increase? He's been consistently high for almost a month now, poor guy.

Please look at World numbers - not everything transfers to the US tab, unfortunately.

I need to correct myself. When you wrote 5 days I was thinking TR but you are follow SLGS so you will want two more days before an increase.

Well, I did write SLGS but I have tried to do more TR as my schedule has permitted. I test quite a bit, and can maintain this level for a while longer because I can't stand to leave him so high for so long... with the weekend coming up I figured this would be a good opportunity to monitor properly after an increase

Strangely enough, it seems to show unknown values on the US tab, but nothing on the World tab. Otherwise, things seem to be transferring over just fine. Maybe there's a blank entry there on the World tab?

If you are going to follow TR, do you might updating your signature with TR, so we know which dosing method you want to follow.

As others mentioned above, I'd switch to TR - as long as there's no dry food involved and you can test as much as you have been (excellent btw)...you could increase him every 3 days until you start seeing some better numbers.

You guys are early in the game...only on Lantus for not even a month. Lantus is a depot style insulin and doesn't have the harsh drops that your previous insulin could cause.

Lantus will build up in the tissues (the depot)...and as you increase those numbers will come down....

Just mark it on your SS and your signature so everyone will know when you're doing TR - and when you need to switch back to SLGS you can change your info...

It's not the high numbers that you need to worry about it...it's the low one's. The higher numbers take longer to do damage...the low one's will require more attention and response...

I think you will be happier with TR although at first the lows are scary.
