Hello everyone,

My little girl still in the ER, I went to visit her today and talked to her vet to know more anout her diagnosis.

well, in general vet told me that they re-test her blood today, her kidney back to a very normal result whis is surprised as they thought that they have early CKD, her white cell and liver enzyme went down little but but still not normal, she want to keep her for several days to clear all the infection from her body, she had sime fever today.

She suspect of Triaditis or in worse case shae said it might be a pancreas tumar that cause her diabetes at first thing and might start flare now which was scary to hear and hope she is wrong and it is just an infection.

with no ultrasound around it will hard too diagnosis and she said even with ultrasound it might not be detected if it is a tumar.

I do not know if the sever mouth infection that she had cause this.

for now I want her to feel better and pray for the infection to go away, then i will see if we can do ultrasound in other clinic.

I'm so sorry to hear Meme isn't doing well. Sending big prayers and healing vines to you this morning for your little girl to get on the mend!

I hope they can find a way to get her in for an ultrasound soon!

Hello again, I noticed just now that you have two threads going today. Could you please click on the 'delete' button to try to remove the other one?

As long as no one has replied to it, you should be able to delete it.

I know you're upset...and I understand...so don't worry if you have trouble with it...we'll get one of the mods to help you later if you can't.

sending more hugs your way!

It sounds like Meme is getting good care in the ER. I'm so glad you got to visit her. I bet seeing you perked her up!:bighug:
I hope and pray for Meme's recovery, and that she gets well so you can get her to the other clinic for an ultrasound. Sending her lots of healing vines.
Remember to look after yourself too, Mama Bean. :bighug::bighug::bighug:The stress of all of this takes a lot out of you.
Keep us posted on her progress.

I am sorry Meme is still in the hospital :bighug:.

During, or even right before clinical symptoms appear with Triaditis or pancreatitis, some labs will be out of range (like those that may indicate a kidney issue or CKD) and then they will, hopefully, all return to normal. My T has had his kidney values, liver values...many values out of range, but then with time and recovery, they return to normal.

However, it will be important to repeat labs to make sure that the any values that were out of range return to normal values and remain in normal range once Meme is feeling better.

Thought and prayers for you and Meme:bighug:

Yes, 3 months ago before her tooth extraction her kidney value was little elevated and they told me that she might has early stage of CKD then latter it start to come down slowly but still high.

now after aggressive treatment with antibiotics her kidney value return to very normal range, even her liver and white cell value came down but still consider little high. The vet want to clear the infection totally and she prefer to do it at the clinic even though she know that Meme will be less stress at home but she want her to be with them for more days as the use injectable medication.

I took some of her low carb food, they told that she only eate high carb food when they offer, so I took some of her food hope this help to bring her BG down, she is on 2 unit now.

That is great news about Memes labs :)!
I know it’s hard but try not to stress too much about the carbs right now. You will be able to transition the food eventually :). As you know, as long Meme is eating that is a big win right now. Also, hospitalization with these issues, although stressful, are typically the fastest way to treat the problem and give cats relief vs less stress at home but leaving them feeling sick for a longer period of time. I think it is often harder on us:( vs them.

Hang in there! Again, continued prayers to you and Meme:bighug:

Is fever a normal symptoms for this kind of inflammation, today her temperature was 39.5.

I'm not sure what 39.5 represents (not familiar with metric, sorry)...but you mentioned above that she has an infection - the vet is waiting for it to clear up???

If uncertain if a fever is associated with her present medical conditions, you might want to contact your vets after-hours service to see if they can get a message in to them.

Best wishes.
