Currently in cycle 7 of 2.5u dose. Had a beautiful day of blues yesterday but he bounced back up to 350 at AM+3. Do I need to keep testing throughout the day today? I'm home and able to, just wondering if I can spare him the pokes.

10/16 thread History:
  • 9/11-9/13 vomiting, constipation, ketones small
  • 9/14 vet/hospital, started ondansetron + famotidine, "not DKA yet"
  • 9/15 low number event
  • 9/16 reduced from 1u to 0.5u for 2 cycles
  • 9/17 increased from 0.5u to 0.75u for 2 cycles, vomit
  • 9/18 reduced from 0.75u to 0.5u for 6 cycles, last day ondansetron
  • 9/21 increased by 0.25u to 0.75u for 8 cycles
  • 9/25 increased by 0.25u to 1u for 6 cycles
  • 9/28 increased by 0.25u to 1.25u for 6 cycles
  • 10/1 increased by 0.25u to 1.5u for 6 cycles
  • 10/4 increased by 0.25u to 1.75u for 6 cycles
  • 10/7 increased by 0.25u to 2u for 6 cycles
  • 10/10 increased by 0.25u to 2.25u for 8 cycles
  • 10/14 increased by 0.25u to 2.5u
 
If it were my cat, I'd get a +7ish - that's about when you saw that nice low 100 yesterday (though of course nadirs can change :)). It doesn't look like Kitty Cat bounces for long (hurray!) - he did go from nearly 400 to under 200 yesterday morning in just a few hours. If the +7 is same, then I think you'd be okay till PMPS. Just my two cents :)
 
With the +3 that much higher than the preshot, I would have put away the test kit for the day until PMPS time.

You hold doses with nadirs under 200 for 6-10 cycles. Tonight is cycle 8. So even if you saw green tonight you'd still be increasing day after tomorrow. So if you don't see anything interesting tonight, you can increase tomorrow.

Ah got it, thank you! Sorry, I keep asking the same questions but I'm so unsure! Hoping tonight goes down at least out of the 400s.
He played a lot today, I was surprised. Very high energy.
