10/14/20 - Squeaky! AMPS = 338 +2.5 = 230 +5.5 = 198 +8 =148 +10 = 208 PMPS 231 a little late

I hope Squeaky comes back down soon and the budesonide helps.

Hmmm. AMPS was 338; +2.5 was 230. Do you think I need to test at +4 or +5?

After +2.5 he ate and had his 1.25 mg of prednisilone. So I'm wondering, his numbers probably went up.....

He HATES testing.....

What do you think? Thanks!!!

Hi Jan - I'm no Wendy for sure but I would grab a test if it was my cat - you are around 7.5? It will help to see if he's going up or down and if to give a snack to slow his roll :)

Okay thanks. He's been hiding a lot today. I wonder if because his new med. Didn't know the concept of "slow his roll" before, good to know thanks.

I think another test before PMPS is a good idea just to make sure he's not still dropping.
It's also been six cycles after his last run of greens, he could be breaking his bounce.

Thanks everyone you confirmed what I should do. He just tested at +8, 148 so he is still dropping. Had a nice snack. When do I need to test again? (Knowing how much he hates it).

So this could be a bounce-break plus maybe a Rxn to decreasing his pred this morning...... Woo hoo. When do I need to test again, please?

Thanks everyone for your sage advice. And great coaching.

Hope it all goes well tonight Jan!

Hi Tanya, thanks for your nice greeting! He just tested +10 at 208 so he's going back up again. We are doing all right! I am glad to see his numbers coming down a bit although it is more work for both of us.

How are the two of you?

Best,
Jan and Squeak

Looks like you might get another night of sleep! The +2 or +3 should confirm that

Could you take out the '?' prefix in your thread title once the question is answered please? Thanks! :-)

Well we will see how it goes. The mom had a meltdown.

After first giving him his inhaler, then the ear pricks didn't go right, 3 pricks no blood. So I pilled him, then gave him a break. Then, it took another 2 pricks, got a 231 number. I felt so bad I gave him a new food I had saved for emergencies, to treat him a bit for his meal. (He liked it.) Gave him his shot, that went okay. He hates all of this, and so much of it tonight!!!!

Yet even though he's kinda angry about the whole thing (that tail is pounding the floor a bit), I think he understands how hard this is for me. He didn't run to the other room this evening or go to hide, he is sitting here in the room with me.

Okay, in two hours another ear prick. Those poor ears. I hope he doesn't keep going down. So we can both have a break.
