This morning, 10/12/20 I took Bella in for a check up after being diagnosed with diabetes on 10/2/20. She was up 1/2lb on the scales to 6.5lbs!!! AND I finally talked the vet into agreeing to prescribe her Lantus after 2nd office visit!! But he still wants me to double her Novolin insulin which isn’t going to happen!! Quick question please!! I’ve noticed Bella’s BM’s being really hard & noticed her having what looks like external hemorrhoids. Sometimes bleeding but not always. What can I safely put on her to help with that? I have started adding 1/8 Miralax to her meals which has helped some but still still swollen. I truly appreciate y’all’s help and advice!! Y’all have been a Godsend ❤️

You Can up it to 1/4 if you need to. Never heard of a cat with hemroids but once the poo is not so hard it might resolve. Add pumpkin and water to the food as well.

I'd definitely suggest adding water to her food. Butter (unsalted) or a little bit of oil may also help. I would suggest having the vet look at the hemorrhoids. It could be anal glands and they can get infected or rupture.

Congrats on the weight gain and on getting a switch to Lantus. Let us know how we can help with the latter.

Have you had a chance to get a spreadsheet set up?

I had the new vet look at her Thursday and said Oh she’s ok, I don’t feel any swollen glands. That very night she bled after a poo. This is the same vet that wanted to double her Novolin from 2units twice a day to 4 units. I was so excited when Bella weighed 1/2lb heavier & him finally agreeing to get her some Lantus this morning I totally forgot to show him It has softened up some but still protruding out a little bit

Chris has been helping me behind the scenes as for updating it. I receive an email from google yesterday saying itd be the 23rd before they can update & I get the app

Sorry you didnt get a reply. I didnt read back but if it helps I use to add enough water to rinse out the can and add that to Troubles food. Maybe 3 table spoons? something like that I'd swish it around then pour it in and mix well
I do that already, thank you. Someone suggested to use stock instead of broth but Alllllll stock ingredients I’ve seen has onion/garlic in it so when I bake her chicken I add water to it so I can have extra juices
