10-9 TYLER AMPS-57/59/69+1/71+2/62+3/76@+4.5/78+6/79+8/PMPS-75/51+3.25/63+7

Looking good Tyler :D Good job shooting low, Diane :bighug:

FWIW, when Jax was in the 50s at shot time, I got a +0.5 to make sure he was getting a food bump (Jax doesn't get a big one generally) and then I'd get a +1. After the +1, I'd monitor to get him through onset of the new dose.

So great to see Tyler liking this dose - he's got a great caregiver to help him :bighug:

Good morning Diane and Tyler!

I am still learning about understanding Lantus spreadsheets so can't help you there but eager to hear what the others have to say!

He did this to me on on 10-4 night cycle but his PMPS were a little higher

Looks like on 10/4 you didnt and then he dropped back down. I would do a teaspoon or two of LC to help him surf.
So I'd feed and test in 30 to make sure the LC is enough and if he drops more, give some MC - however much you gave on 10/4 in the evening when he was in the 50s. Just trying not to bump him too high since he's pretty flat.

In other news, Jax is on a mission. I'm still watching but I need to grab him some food.

Okey Dokey :bighug::bighug:

ooo, Tyler is looking great.

To recap:
AMPS 57 *breakfast?
+1 69
+1.5 *1.5t 3%
+2 71

Will Tyler keep eating? Jax eats anything lol. I'd feed some more LC (1-2t). He's surfing nice and safe right now - I think you'd be okay testing an hour after feeding but you could test after 30 if you wanted.

Do you have to be out of the house? I guess I should have asked:p ...though we can always feed MC if needed.

Yay, he's doing great and so are you :bighug: I hope Tyler waves to Jax (Jax dove from 100 to 60s lol, I much prefer the flatter approach that Tyler took). With the MC, you're prob good for an hour. If he's in the 70s, I think you can stick with LC. I may run out to pick up lunch so may not be around for a bit.

Thanks guys been going crazy today, my dad is driving me, my sister and brother absolutely nuts

87 and start of dementia, he knows everything that's going on, just forgets things
example of what he told us 2 minutes, being stubborn like you wouldn't believe,
nasty, doesn't want to answer us when we ask him something , he does it on spite.
He's always been difficult to deal with.

He lives with my sister, he mentally abuses her
He can't stay with me because of my daughter's illness
NO WAY. I had him live with me for four years in the past.
He lives in the basement, beautiful finished basement, bathroom, kitchenette,
TV.
He doesn't like things that my sister does, her husband does or her son does
Always making digs
I told him then stay in the basement

Don't tell them how to live or what to do
Can't live with my brother, he only has 3 rooms

I am going to look for a studio apt for him.
I have had it with is antics, phone calls all day and night
I have enough stress with my daughters illness.

Don't know if you ever saw me post about what she has.
I'll post it below

Phew life is throwing all sorts of things at you :bighug: Hang in there. Find the bright spots...even the dim ones...they are still light...I know this is easier said than done. Lots of love and support :bighug::bighug::bighug:

My daughter who is 35 lives with me because she has a chronic pain disease
called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, it's actually known as The Suicide Disease
It's the highest ranking disease in medical history, bet none of you have even heard of this, that's because there is not enough awareness, no research, and no
funding for research. It attacks the central nervous system and the brain does not shut off pain signals. Very hard to explain and too lengthy to describe
here. You might want to Google it if you would like to, but on the internet it doesn't even begin to describe every symptom people get, like cats each person is different.

I belong to so many support groups and you would cry reading about these
people and I know of hundreds who have ended their lives because they just couldn't take the pain any longer or the loneliness, depression, the isolation

My daughters best friend took her life 4 years ago age 31 , she had the same disease, my daughter is still devastated. So am I

So of course I look at my daughter and say what will become if her when I die.
She hasn't left the house in 15 years , only for doctor appointments
I'm not kidding. She has it the worst in her ears, like someone is rubbing them raw with a grater. It's 24/7 pain mist of the time
She cannot be around sound, so she can't go out
A breeze will set off pain.
She has it for 15 years already, there is no cure and we have tried every treatment
there is,been to 5 different states.

I'm so sorry I have rambled on and on but sometimes I just need to get it out

Google it if you would like to
She has it the worst in her ears
Wikipedia has the best description and history but stay away from YouTube videos of people having full blown episodes. They look like the school of bad acting
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trigeminal_neuralgia
Don't worry about getting it out there Diane, think of the first time you had to explain that cats really could be diabetic and then having to explain why you're still keeping the poor suffering cat alive. Then multiply that by 1,000.
My first few years were met by looks of disbelief and condescending pity. Imagine going to emergency and telling the admitting nurse your head really hurts. I once brought a jug of Percocets to show them I wasn't shopping for drugs and that just made everything worse. I was first diagnosed with a sinus infection, then asked more than once about my mental health and if I had a gun in the house. I had short hair and no obvious scarring or wounds.
Before we knew it was a real thing I was sent to three inept psychiatrists. After a year I finally got the last one to admit he had never experienced real pain, not even a sprained ankle. He was always letting it slip that he was a court appointed shrink who could have people sent away etc. On my last visit I nearly tossed him out the window when I explained our dog had just died and he wanted to know "how does that make you feel?"
Healthcare is mostly free here so eventually I saw eight neurologists and had three MRI's. The ninth doctor was the first woman so she actually listened to what I told her. In 30 minutes the mystery was solved. The bad news was I also had Chiari malformation (my brain stem isn't where it should be), Tinnitus (you mentioned ears) and early signs of Chronic traumatic encephalopathy from too many concussions. This all happened a week after Nigel died, his papa Jacob died a month before that so next on my list was PTSD. The low grade bipolar came later. If it wasn't for my wife I'd be homeless by now.
I'm not telling you this for pity sake. Your daughter needs to know she's not alone and how even a pillow touching her cheek can be agony. If it helps I take
Rizatriptan for migraines and cluster headaches and though it's not recommended for TGN it helps if you take it before things get bad. That and enough Clonazepam to put a horse to sleep. Narcan / Naloxone is free here if your pharmacist thinks it's a good idea, mine does.

Nut's, I just saw your post about family drama. My mom used to gaze lovingly at my dad's portrait and wonder if she'd see him in Heaven one day, IF that's where he was. One day I'd had enough and asked her if she had lost her faith, the rest of our family are lapsed Catholics. In front of my wife she gave me the "what an idiot I've raised" look, looked down towards where Hell should be and told us both "Your father was a very bad man". Can you beat that? My dad didn't die of cancer, my mom nagged him to death. You can't choose your family but call display and block sender are God's gift to sinners like me.
Sorry everyone, I don't know anything about Lantus so we'll now return to our regularly scheduled programming.
@jt and trouble (GA) Diane, if you think it's just us jeanne can tell you stories that will grow hair on your tongue.
