First reply was fine, Patty. I have my alerts set that if anyone replies to the thread I get a notification. When I'm closely monitoring a thread I run it on a separate browser tab and regularly refresh the page to catch updates.

I'd suggest feeding Blue a few teaspoons of low carb and test in 30 minutes. You good with that, Patty?

Still bunged up, sneezy and woolly-headed here. Not quite as achy, but not by much.

Glad to hear that you're feeling better than you did, and I hope the symptoms won't persist much longer.

We're at 70 +5 now. HC and test in 30?
FYI, I went for the fudged 'DIY medium carb' feed rather than all HC because:

* Blue is fine and safe at 70.
* There's a 20-point buffer in BG level above the hypo threshold.
* You're almost half way through the cycle. A little extra carbs are helpful, but you don't want to give so much that it will raise numbers too fast later in the cycle.
* The foods you've been using to steer numbers thus far have steadied the rate of the drop in BG level.
* You're testing frequently enough to intervene with an all-HC food very quickly should Blue need it.

The idea is to find the lowest amount of carbs at particular stages in the cycle that will keep Blue both safe AND in really healthy numbers for a goodly part of the cycle. This rests his little pancreas, hopefully allowing it to gradually recover more function. It is also hoped that it will reeducate his brain's control systems and his liver that normal blood glucose levels are, in fact, safe. Some cats get less bouncy over time, others have been known to bounce all the way to remission.

And off he goes...

Looks like you can stand down for a while, Patty.

If you do need to give Blue any food between now and +10, it needs to be LC only.

Well done today. If you can get a few hours kip before PMPS it would be a good idea, just in case Blue doesn't get a big bounce.

Blue is 414 +10 what happened?
Boing!

Nature. ;) The body's protective mechanisms kick into overdrive when it's still relearning to recognise healthy numbers.

He may yet dip down a little by PMPS: see the AM cycle of two days ago.

You did great today, Patty. :cat:

Signing off shortly (tired and wired so now have meds on board to help me sleep). Wishing ye a safe night.
