10/8 Oberon PMPS 388/2.8, +1 391, +2 356, +3 356, +4 363

I hope all goes well again today:). I saw you are going to continue to ask about the teeth but it is probably a good idea to also follow up &/or get a 2nd opinion or set of eyes on the inflammation found in the GI, pancreas and liver aka Triaditis. That in and of itself is capable of making it difficult to manage BG & I’m not sure why the vet didn’t think it was a concern. Inflammation, whether in the mouth due to dental issues, or in on organ let alone 3, is a concern and something to keep an eye on.

Yeah on not joining acro club !!!!!! The IAA eventually one day will break, hold on for that ride.

For teeth, maybe a dental specialist if you have one close by, at least for a 2nd opinion.

With Ollie I went to one, yes they are pricey, but it's worth the piece of mind knowing that is their main focus and they have the latest training and equipment. For Ollie she had one on one care and monitoring post op. For my civvies who are healthy, regular vet is fine.

I missed a lot yesterday. Nice little drop for Oberon below 300! And I'm thankful that acromegaly is out of the picture for you guys and you now pretty much know what you are dealing with. I wish Oberon didn't have IAA, but following you as you use R with him from the beginning is really fascinating.
Have a great day!

OK... starting another R trial (0.75 U). He was 388 at PMPS, so let's see what this does for him.

I think it may be an issue of too many vets... the ultrasound vet's report noted the inflammation and suggested likely triaditis. The ER vet, when she told me about the results, didn't really make too much of it, and the internist hasn't said much either. But I wonder if her recommendation for a course of antibiotics is actually partly because of it and she just didn't come right out and say so.

Thanks! I checked and there are several board certified dentists in my region. A bit far for everyday stuff, but I'll keep it in mind if the dental stuff gets complicated.

Looks like you were pretty busy yesterday! I hope Butters is feeling better.

Just cause I'm a fan of not more tests than needed, I think you've shown that the R+1 is not so interesting.

Out of curiosity, did you shoot 6.5 or 6 this morning? SS says 6. You may be seeing some NDW now - R might help keep it in check so don't be surprised if you don't see much R action.

He got 6.5 this morning. Fixed the SS now. Don't know where my brain was... (actually, I do... it was still in bed. After Oberon's morning stuff I went to get my kid up for class and laid down next to her and fell asleep again...)

Yeah, looks like I can probably skip the R +1.

Not much of a drop so far, and no change between +2 and +3. I can plan to run another trial at 0.75 U tomorrow morning and see if it's the same.

Morning data for reference: +9 325 AMPS 341/2.5, +3 353, +6 389, +9 373

363 at R+4... really not a lot happening tonight. If I'm up late enough I'll get one more bedtime test, but I might not bother.
