Well usually we do pretty well, especially if we draw blood on the first prick. Warming doesn't seem to help a lot. I rub the ears to stimulate blood flow, and usually that does well. He doesn't eat carbs. They give him diarrhea. Lancets are white 26 gauge.

He's already had like 10 pricks in his left ear already tonight. For some reason blood just isn't happening.

3.5 was 81.

He just ate 11 pieces of pan-seared pork. After +3.5. Now can I sleep until 4.5? or +5?

I can’t think of anything else for sore ears.
I used to use both sides of both ears when I was testing a lot (I mean both sides of the outside of the ear to give the other areas a break.

Okay well the good news of the evening, um I mean morning, is after the last round, I stretched out on the sofa, and Squeaky joined me. I see that as a loving, helpful, indication that he understands what is going on in some way. Wanting to support me through this, still loves me.

I'm procrastinating a bit, time for the next round. Sigh. I'm praying for a quick remission of this illness for this gentle creature.

I'm also going to cancel half my activities for tomorrow.

What would you do with this if you were me? Target the ear that gives more blood, that has been pricked 10 - 15 times tonight? Or go for the one that's unreliable that has had fewer pricks and not likely to give blood?

I’d try the unreliable one once and if you can’t get any blood go for the other one.
Try and warm it well first and milk it towards the top first.

Good news it was +6 109 and I'm about to cook and serve some more pork. He ate about 12 pieces of cooked pork. Do I get to go to sleep now?

So tomorrow morning, I still need to do the normal pre-shot? Maybe we will re-evaluate the increase in insulin? I hope we have an easier morning. Thanks again.
