Another hurricane is headed our way, so I’m going to place an amazon order for a Frio wallet. My question is, what size should I buy?

Thank you! I was trying to decide between that one and the mini. Do you think the small is the correct size to store one insulin vial?

Extra large holds 5 pens.

Some hold vials and or pens with syringes.

The pouch I have is plenty roomy for a vial. It's also got enough room for some syringes alongside.

If you're using pens perhaps Paula's suggestion might be a better option.

The extra large will hold vials also, probably quite a few if you stack them. I got the extra large cuz Ollie was high dose. If we lost power for long period of time I wanted all pens (2 boxes) to be safe.

I had the mini when I was still using vials. Hoping you won't have to use it but it's a HUGE relief to have just in case.

One way to protect your vials from breaking if it is dropped, is to place it in a pill bottle. Wrap a paper towel or cotton around the vial so it fits tight in the pill bottle. When you need insulin, just remove the top to draw it into the syringe.

I hope not, too! We are currently on the east side of the projected cone. I have a bad feeling that it’s going to turn more toward us as it nears the coast. Like you said, this will be a great relief for peace of mind. Also glad I ordered a good size!

Thank you. I hope the same. I have lived here all my 32 years and this is a huge storm. Category 3 & below aren’t a huge deal, this hurricane is most certainly a huge deal. So frightening.
