You need to go to bed at some point so I want to do this right.

Yes. if he drops you need to feed and test in 30. If you get too tired you can prop him up with hc. He’s surfing nicely though. If he doesn’t drop you want him not dropping for two hours without food. Then you can give a little lc and go to sleep.
