My Relion micro BG meter is broken and I haven't been able to find another one online. Bought a Relion premier meter and it keeps giving me error messages despite my having collected enough blood on the strips 3 times from a patient, lethargic cat so I know I have a defective monitor. Need to rush over to Walmart asap so would appreciate suggestions on what BG meter to get. Or anything elsewhere i.e. Target, Walgreens, etc. My OTJ cat (hopefully still the case; she's having another pancreatits flare) needs her BG monitored again and I'm really stressed over what monitor to buy. TYIA.

Or can someone direct me to a list of monitors on this site? Can't find it.

Most of us us the Relion Prime , I have never had a problem with it
Relion prime test strips 17.88 for 100

Is your cat lethargic?

So she is still OTJ and is now having another pancreatitis flare right now?

I meant to remove the 911 earlier, sorry. Yes, another flare and lethargic on and off. The Relion Prime I bought Sunday night at Walmart is NOT working. On my first use, it showed a low battery indicator. Then shows to insert the strip which I do and it then points to the right but no reading. So, I now have two defective meters from Walmart. I am honestly ready to scream.

Any other meters used here other than Relion? Or should I just keep buying a Relion and hope one works?

I just can't believe, you set it up first?
What are the chances of both of them not working, unbelievable
I really don't know of any other human meters, try a CVS and see what they have, or a pharmacy
Any other human meter, even a pet meter you would have to order them.
Maybe try one more Relion

Get your money back or an exchange and with the premier get a store credit if you don't have the receipt and buy strips with it

Do you think he needs to see a vet tomorrow

She has seen the vet. Yes, I'm having bad luck. I've never had a problem with the last Relion meter. I ordered another Relion Prime and will see if it works but I'm going to see if something else works as well. My old Relion Micro keeps giving me a low reading between 25 to 30.

Did you try changing the batteries? If so what Bron suggested and test yourself with this one as well
