Agree with the .25 in the morning.

Wow Sally, you've been busy! Hi Elizabeth, I'm Sally's sister Patty as in Patty & Blue. Blue also has diabetes. Thanks for helping her. I'm just a couple months into this. Mogs, Elise and Jeanne help me.
Sally and I were discussing the possibility that the UTI caused the BG to go high. The numbers Sally is getting for Lily look so much better than Blue. I can tell Sally is hoping this is the case.
Good luck Sally. Doesn't Pappa have strips at his house? You could probably use those until you get some. Be safe and glad you have help.![]()
I'm really glad that Elizabeth was here to help you both. Are you applying a very thin smear of Vaseline to the test area on the ear? If not, before doing a test try applying a little Vaseline to the sweet spot on the ear. Wipe off any excess with a tissue or cotton pad before doing the poke. It helps the blood sample to bead up instead of wicking away into the fur. There was a lot of blood but it was not pooling.
Morning, Sally.
Aargh! Not a good night to run out of test strips.I'm really glad that Elizabeth was here to help you both.
How are yourself and Lily doing this morning?

Ya think? Now I have about 10-20 backup vials ready to go. I might have gone too far in the other direction.
I actually have a lot less right now than I did about 6 months ago. I haven't bought much recently. I should go count. lolYa think?
LOL!

When you get to test Lily later on don't freak if her numbers are much higher. They may be bumped up by the high carb (HC) food.Lily got to eat her old food all night
Thanks, yes I was thinking her numbers might be high. I will let you know, thanks. When you get to test Lily later on don't freak if her numbers are much higher. They may be bumped up by the high carb (HC) food.
Glad you're both OK.

Just got back from Walmart. Had to go to 3 different ones. Feeding Lily now, BG was 362. Plan to give her .25Vetsulin. Sound good?Ok good idea to keep on hand, thx
Wow, two didn't have strips?? Yikes!
Glad to see Lily did just fine last night!
Ok, +2.5 it is.I'd suggest +2.5, Sally. The Vetsulin should have kicked in by then and testing that wee bit earlier gives you more of a heads-up on where the cycle might be headed today. It's still early days, and we're following Lily's lead.
