Morning,

Blue was still pretty high last night after .75 insulin at 440 +2 so had gone up from PMPS.
I decided I needed to sleep through the night and what do you know, he finally decreased
to 163 AMPS. I was surprised and will keep a close watch on him today. Looking back at
the SS and when he was last on .75 I thought I had a few cycles to go before he went lower.
Silly me.

LOL predicting what Blues next move is futile. Hes got his own way of doing things . We just need to understand how that "way" works. He IS his own cat!
That said, I think you are going in the right direction (unless of course Blue has other ideas)

I think he’s settling in to the increase. The goal will be to prevent a decrease. I’d get a +2 and +4 since his last reduction happened at +5. I think you might see green sooner than later.

He's down to 94 +2 and I'm giving him a small amount of MC food....only about a tablespoon full.

Meow Mix chicken and beef in sauce and I think around 15% carbs but I'll look it up again. I was going to the store today for more high carb food because I thought this was higher than it is.

Thanks Jeanne. I really wanted him to stay above 50. I know the .5 is not enough for him but the .75 he goes too low. It's so hard to gauge the dose on the syringes also.

That would be fine for hc. You could add a tsp of that with a tsp of the 10%. It’s going to be trial and error. We just need to figure out how much carbs are needed to keep him away from the sharks.

I see that Blue has been shark hunting again.

I recommend making a note of what you fed and when during this cycle so that you can refer back to it when you need to steer the curve again, e.g.

+2.00 - 94 - fed xx tsp of yy food
+3.00 - 68 - fed xx tsp of yy food (+zz honey/syrup)

etc., etc.

If it was me in this circumstance, for safety I'd delay the grocery shopping a bit, see where he is in an hour then depending on that reading feed something appropriate to cover the time needed for the shopping trip. Ideally I'd like to see him back in the blues and a little further along in the cycle before popping out.

When making suggestions, I think about what I'd do if it was my cat and then add an additional - generous - layer of safety for the member's cat.

Okay, in the blue zone finally 111 but it's in the +7 column but only +5.
I feed the gang soon so that should help keep his numbers up.
