I will be calling the vet tomorrow in the morning however as of right now she is hiding under my bed and is acting strange.
I noticed her being strange when I got home from work today and I couldn't find her for 20 minutes, I found her under my dresser. I pulled her out and when I did she growled at me and I noticed that she had fluid around her tail. I though that maybe she was spooked by something and had dropped her glands however there was no smell. She seem distressed so I let her go and she went back under the dresser. I noticed that there was small stains on the carpet that must be extremely diluted diarrhea.
I just pulled her out again to clean her up and as I was walking to the bathroom, holding her in my arms she started leaking the clear, orderless liquid all over my legs. I rushed to the bathroom and started to wipe it off of her, it was 100% coming from her rectum.
I am scared that the food I changed her to about 6 months ago is affecting her. I saw a similar post about this and saw that the woman, Beth, posted that her cat had to be put to sleep due to complications.
I have had Ollie tested for diabetes before and she has been fine and shows no signs of it at all. I am worried that this is something very serious and very expensive (I am a junior in college living in a very small town with no over night vet) if anyone has any helpful hints about what I can do make her comfortable or help her in anyway before going to the vet tomorrow that would be extremely helpful.

How old is she? Any diagnosed health issues? Any other strange symptoms?

Will she drink or eat for you?
I think if you changed food 6 months ago you would have seen any issues before this.
Are you sure it couldn’t be coming from the bladder? Cats that have cystitis can leak urine without realising it.

I wouldn't worry about money. There are probably animal organizations that can help with that, or the vet could put you on a payment plan. Also, leave the carrier out tonight so Ollie can get used to it. If you make it comfy, maybe she'll sleep in it. Put a soft cloth at the bottom. If she decides to sleep in it, you could see if she has any discharge. I have no idea what the problem could be, but try to relax. Cats can pick up on human tension. Best wishes and prayers. Let us know what the vet says and how Ollie is doing. It might be something simple that could be cured with antibiotics. If you can't get in to see a vet tomorrow, you may want to consider an animal hospital. @jt and trouble (GA) I looked up anal discharge on the search and found someone who had the same problem. It was the anal glands needing to be expressed.

She seems to be eating and drinking fine. When I took her to the bathroom I held her sorta like a baby and I could see the liquid coming right out of the rectum. I am just nervous because I saw a woman post about a similar issue and she had to put her cat down due to issues. This morning she seems to be back to normal and I was just on the phone with the vet and they've never heard of this happening before. I am taking her in soon.

Thank you for the advise about the carrier, I think she is comfortable with it now. I am taking Ollie in soon to the vet and they said they've never heard of this before. They are taking her in for today to run tests. I am just worried that this is something serious.

That's what I was thinking and thank you for that advice. And that was what I used to feed her before I switched to something cheaper. Might be switching back.
You have to switch cat foods gradually, at least with dry food. I switched wet food a couple of weeks ago. I ran out of the new food a couple days ago and went back to the old food. Now they don't seem to like the old food anymore.

What did the vet say, she sure is a cutie
Aw thank you! I took her in and the vet over the phone said they hadn't seen or heard of this ever happening. They still have her now, I wasn't allowed in due to restrictions with lovely COVID. I am expecting a call from him soon on an update, they said they will do testing and a check up to see how she is.

I just realized your first post was yesterday

Hi! thank you for the welcome! Ollie is not however one of her siblings from her litter is, so I am keeping a close eye on her and so is the vet with check ups and I joined on here due to my research with this issue and saw a past member posted a similar situation.

Hi Katelynn,

I'm sorry to hear about Ollie's clear discharge. The only thing I could find online was that colitis can sometimes cause greater secretion of mucus and that can sometimes be discharged from the rectum. Please let us know how you get on with the vets. I hope they'll be able to address the problem quickly.

So I got her back. The vet checked her out and said that there is nothing wrong with her physically. She was worried about ollie being an outdoor cat. I told her I take her on walks since she is leash trained but other than that she is always inside. The vet said that the only times that she has seen or heard of something like this is when a man abuses an animal in a sexual manner or if a cat is spayed yet thinks that she is still in cycle and will go out and have reproductive actions. There aren't even any men living in my apartment building. She doesn't leave my building without me. She is 100% back to normal, eating and drinking, terrorizing my yarn as I'm crocheting. The vet said to call if this happens again.

Thank you all for your support, thoughts, and advice during all of this. I will update on Ollie if something else occurs.

Thank you so much for the comment on Ollie and the advice about the colitis. I posted a reply about an update. I appreciate all of you so much. <3

I'm happy everything is ok with Ollie , but that is the craziest thing I have ever heard
No offense
Again I'm happy she's all back to normal, by the way she is adorable :cat:
Have a good night

How horrifying! I can't believe someone would sexually abuse a cat! If they did, I'm sure there would be significant tearing and bleeding. That's an odd thing for your vet to say. Anyway, I'm so glad she's back to normal.
Yeah that was exactly what I was thinking. Plus, I don't have any men going in or near my apartment. So I don't really know why she would bring that up.
