After a green and some nice blues yesterday (only 1 yellow), I was kind of expecting a 'dawn effect' high number at AMPS this morning but NO! Disco gave me a 50! I went ahead and gave him 4u and tested him every 30 min for 3 tests and he came up to 89, so I think I did the right thing. I appreciate @LindyNova looking in on him before I got a condo up today and for her take on how she treats her cat, guiding with food, etc, who seems a lot like Disco.

So, am I correct as he is almost a 1 year diabetic that I go with the hold dose unless he drops below 50 on 3 separate, not consecutive, days?

Nice surfing today. I think it is just 3 times under 50 on different days, but they can be consecutive days.

That is only for cats that do not hold reductions well - they don't have to be long term diabetics. They can be consecutive days. Reminder: *earning* reductions and starting OTJ trials

Yeah, I haven’t gotten around to posting a Convo yet today, although the SS is up-to-date and unfortunately, he went under 50, so I guess we have two more times under 50 before I have to reduce his dose...
